You know it’s July here in Lancaster County because tomatoes are the fare for almost every meal! And we can’t get enough! Nothing is better than fresh seasonal food on the menu! Here’s are 33 delicious recipes On The Menu week of July18th…

The only time of year I eat fresh tomatoes is summer! And they need to be grown and picked out of a local garden. They have a taste all their own. And they are scrumptious!!!!!

Our tomatoes are a bit late this year so I’m getting them from an Amish farm stand down the road. I think ours will be ready in another week!

MONDAY

It’s been a while since Chili was on the menu and a long while since I’ve featured a white Chili recipe!

This White Chicken Chili has extra good flavor! The secret to this dish is roasting the chicken first. So smart! We grill batches of boneless skinless chicken breast like the ones on the menu on Saturday and freeze them for recipes like this!

Thanks, Lisa from Panning The Globe!

TUESDAY

Here at StoneGable, we are such carnivores! And steak is our favorite!

Sirloin steak is a great choice when you are watching what you eat. However, it sometimes lacks that beefy flavor. Unfortunately, the flavor is in the fat!

Today’s menu plan from Judy at The Midnight Baker is infused with scrumptious flavors! Garlic, wine, and mushrooms are the perfect match for this steak!

I just might switch out the dry wine and use Maderia. Oh, my culinary goodness!

WEDNESDAY

YUM! Salmon Cakes are on tonight’s menu. I’ve eaten them since I was a little girl. But these aren’t my mom’s salmon cake recipe. I’ve added a few ingredients that give them luscious flavor like onions and peppers and herbs.

I still used canned salmon because they turn out wonderful! If you make one thing this week make sure to try these!

We are having local corn on the cob with the salmon tonight. I take corn very personally! You can’t drive anywhere without seeing fields and fields of corn. This year the weather has been perfect for corn and it is so so sweet!

THURSDAY

Pasta is a frequent part of our weekly menu. Bobby loves pasta! Today I’m using a recipe from Marianne at The Pointed Kitchen! I’ll use all lump crab meat! I’m a crab meat lover so I’ll probably treat myself to a little extra! Doesn’t this recipe look divine?

FRIDAY- SOUP DAY

Yes, soup is On The Menu! This is such an easy peasy soup and tastes so delicious. It’s perfect for a quick dinner and Fridays are made for a quick and fun dinner!

If you have never made this soup, give it a try! It just might be your go-to soup when you need a quick meal!

SATURDAY

Trust me on this. Make lots and lots of grilled chicken on the menu!

Chicken thighs are our favorite thing to grill! They stay moist and juicy on the grill. This recipe is a winner! Thanks, Erin from Well Plated.

SUNDAY

California rolls are addictive! I learned how to make them last year and once you get the hang of the rice thing and the bamboo mat they are so so easy to make! Switch up the filling ingredients. So good! And good for you!

This delicious recipe is from Natasha’s Kitchen.

SWEET TREAT OF THE WEEK

I’ve made this zucchini bread for decades! It’s so delicious. When zucchini is in season I made quite a few loves and freeze them. It feels good to have the taste of summer in the freezer!

  1. Yvonne, Love your videos. It’s wonderful to meet you and hear your voice after allll these years. Here in Ohio, we too have several ore weeks to pick fresh tomatoes from our garden. Can’t wait for my husband’s corn. Great recipes as always. Have a lovely week with all your family.
