Welcome to my blog and my life! I’m Yvonne… mother, wife and blogging enthusiast.
I’m an empty nester living with my wonderful husband Bobby at StoneGable. Our home often our homes feels like a hotel!
I love all things HOME AND GARDEN! Well, except ironing and maybe cleaning the garage!
I’m a life-long learner and am on a quest for new things to learn and do… especially when it concerns anything domestic.
Living by grace, I strive to be positive and purposeful… living large and loving all those who cross my path.
Welcome to StoneGable. My front door is always open to friends… old and new!

I’m interested in your Revise and Fix consultation. Do you have any of the $99 coupons remaining?
I couldn’t figure out your email; I hope you see this.
Blessings,
Carol
Do you work for pottery barn. What do u think of their chesterfield sofa. Do you think one solid piece to sit on is better or cushions. Want low maintenance good quality.
Hi Maria, I don’t work for POttery Barn I just have a PB outlet 5 miles from my home and I can get some great things there. I LOVE a chesterfield sofa but I would be very careful with Pottery Barn sofas. It’s been my experience that they are having issues with some of their fabrics. My kids each had PB sofas and had to return them for pilling issues. Then the new sofas pilled too. They had a very hard time trying to get replacements.
Yvonne, I’ve been following your blog for at least a couple of years now. You have the prettiest dining room on the web in my opinion. I would like to know where you got your custom made slip cover for your bench that you have in your dining room. TIA.
Hi Brenda, I made it from a dropcloth. Here’s the tutorial: http://www.stonegableblog.com/easy-dropcloth-bench-slipcover/
I would love to subscribe but have had no luck receiving the emails. Can you sign me up?
I’m truly happy to find your blog….this is a treasure of ideas! We’ve recently relocated from northern VA to NC and delight to now exchange semi-formal traditional to comfy contemporary style. We appreciate this resource, Yvonne!
Hi Joan Welcome to the StoneGable family!
Hi I am making your Amish ham loaf. Question: does the brown sugar get divided between the loaf and sauce?
Not sure! I don’t make a brown sugar sauce on mine. We love ham loaf! It’s a real Lancaster County favorite!
I love your blogs and your enthusiasm for all things home‼️. It would bless me to have your blog messages sent to my precious sister….will you please send to her at smagibbons.net. Thanks so very much! She will love you, too!
Hello Yvonne, my name is Veta and I’ve been following your blog for about 2 years. I love your cozy home and decorating tips. I especially love your kitchen
My husband and I just returned from an amazing road trip to Washington DC. We stopped along the way to visit family, friends and interesting places. We stayed over nite in Mobile, AL in a lovely restored home and got the chance to drive around looking at homes in this beautiful area. All the homes had big porches, some of which wrapped around. The homes reminded me of some of the pictures from your blog. I know you live in the South but I couldn’t remember where and I couldn’t find it with a brief scan of some of your blog posts. I’m curious to know whether any of our travels through out the South took us any where near you. We went from New Orleans to Mobile to Atlanta to Myrtle Beach, NC then on to DC. It was one of the best vacations we’ve ever taken.
