February is an interesting month! It’s a short month. Even this year, leap year, it still gets gipped out of a day. Here in my neck of the woods it’s a gray, cold and windy month. Even though the weather here in February is not optimum it has some great holidays and special days. Black History Month, Groundhog Day, Valentine’s Day, President’s Day, Chinese New Year and American Heart Month. And it has 28 or 29 days of birthdays! It’s also Canned Food and Grapefruit month! Thanks for the chuckle early this morning, I’ve never heard of do a grouch a favor day and I’m 56 on the 26th of this month. Would love to know on what day this is, I have someone in mind. Teehee. I have a wedding venue…and I love the Mr. Mrs. pillows…I am going to make the pillows. When I clicked on the “Here” and “Here” one of them said Farm Fresh…and I need an “M” to go with the other pattern. Where did the Farm Fresh come in?

Hi Yvonne, this has not been a typical February in Indiana…..it is beautiful today. You offer so many good ideas, but today I’m making hearts out of old wool sweaters that have been washed in hot water and shrunk. I have 4 children that are born in February so we keep busy celebrating. I will be 80 this month and still get much joy out of my home. Thanks for all your inspiration!
PS My daughter-in-law makes the coolest pillows out of burlap painted with chalk paint.

I love Valentine’s Day… A day put aside for ‘love’. Beleive it or not, I bought “white patterned” dishes yesterday to use for serving on Valentine’s Day!!! Yvonne your enthusiam has spilled over – I believe to many other readers as well. I want to draw a tree, and from the base write the word LOVE and allow it to grow into branches with adding words what love really means, i.e. compassion, respect etc. and see how the tree will grow and flourish. I thank our gacious Heavenly Father for His love in our hearts that we can love one another in a special way every day, whether family or friends or just a stranger. I love the Winter Centre piece with those gorgeous stands. I have changed my eating habbits for a more healthier lifestyle, but dog gone, those jam filled heart pies are calling me seriously. Some sweetness along the way cannot be harmful. Be richly blessed….

Hi Yvonne! thanks for this post! So much great ideas! February is usually not my favourite month as the weather here is generally terrible at this time of the year. But you’re so right there are so much great things to do and fun parties to celebrate! The next one for us will definitely be a romantic Valentine’s evening at home too.

With the unusually early warm temperatures outside, I found myself attempting the beginning of some “SPRING HOUSECLEANING” today!!
