ON THE MENU WEEK OF APRIL 8TH
I’m busy in the kitchen at StoneGable this week. Getting ready for guests and cooking the make-ahead parts of our Easter meal! Easter at our house means a big BRUNCH! And all the favorites of our family. Like many families, we eat the same brunch that has been perfected over years! And we look so forward to it! Our brunch culminates in an Easter Egg fight (no we don’t throw eggs) and a crowning of the Easter egg king or queen! This is a tradition that goes back generations! Holidays are a great time to build family traditions and connect the past generations to the future! Now, here’s what’s on the menu this week…

TUESDAY- SLOW COOKER DAY
This is a new to me recipe from Creme de la Crumb. Oh, yum! My love love love of Tex-Mex food will be satisfied with this scrumptious soup! As the weather warms I still love soup. But making it in the slow cooker is such a good option.

WEDNESDAY
If you make one thing on the menu this week… this should be it! These meatballs are that good! I have to portion myself or I just keep going back for more!

My Bobby does not like leftovers. Not that he’s wasteful but he has had a long and sad childhood history with eating leftovers for weeks at a time. So when I have leftovers I pop them into the freezer to bring out at a much later time and they appear on the table in a new form! Leftover sneak attack! Hello, leftover chili!
