Home Style Saturday #389

I’ve been excited for March to get here, and finally, it’s March! Looking at our sunroom window, I can see beautiful signs of spring! The buds on our trees are swollen and ready to burst forth, and our birdfeeders have become a busy meeting place for a plethora of hungry birds.

This weekend, I’m planning to spend time digging in the dirt, getting our raised garden beds and big containers ready for early spring planting. I’ve missed tending my little garden. I hope this weekend finds you doing something that feeds your soul and puts a smile on your face.

mantel with blue and white decor

The mantel and kitchen shelves are two spaces I like to spruce up for the seasons and I had fun with the mantel this time. I kept my mirror up there and added lots of blue and white and a pretty lake canvas painting I had on the screened porch last year. The colors are great for this time of year.

    Yvonne,
Feeling like spring this afternoon in N.C so I picked some Daffodils for the house, planted some window boxes with pansies and just sat on our deck and enjoyed the sunshine. We have had alot of cloudy, rainy days this winter and I so need Spring to stick around for a while. Can’t wait to bake some loaves of your Irish Soda bread and bring out my green dishes for St Patrick’s Day.Since Easter comes at the Last Day in March I guess I should check on where I have stowed away my Bunnies ,eggs, spring flowering branches and nests ect. My great granddaughter who is now 8mos old will be arriving with her Mother this week for a visit. (Dad has to stay home and go to work.)Can’t wait to see her,she is growing so fast!
    Enjoy these Spring like days.
