BEAUTIFUL GREEN PEARS

One of my favorite things about planning meals is as a new season is on the horizon my meals begin to change. Finding new recipes to try with seasonal ingredients is in my happy wheelhouse! And fall flavors are so delicious and warm! Here’s what’s on the menu week of September 12th.

If there is a recipe you would like to share that you love please write the recipe in the comments. You are among recipe lovers, my friend!

MONDAY

Mondays are usually a very busy day for Bobby and me. So I often put a little comfort in my Monday night dinners!

I found a new-to-me foodie blog I’m just loving! Let me introduce Nora at Savory Nothings! Today I’m making here easy Instant Pot creation Sour Cream Pork Chops. YUM!

I made applesauce over the weekend. If you don’t make your own applesauce please give it a try! It’s so so easy and tastes so so much better! Use a combo of tart and sweet apples for a complex delicious flavor.

TUESDAY

We try to eat seafood a couple times a week. Knowing where fish is sourced is so important! This week we are having a scrumptious cod dish from Suzy at Mediterranean Recipes And Lifestyle. I’m a huge fan of Mediterranean food! If you are too make sure to check out Suzy’s blog!

WEDNESDAY

Do you love pasta? We do too. We love spaghetti and meatballs but there is a whole world of glorious pasta recipes out there. And one of the easiest ways to make pasta is to bake it!

Thanks, Holly! I LOVE Spend With Pennies! Your website is amazing!

If you ARE looking for a great meatball recipe this is it! See it HERE. I only make these meatballs. Now that’s saying something!

THURSDAY

Chicken is a staple at StoneGable. We make chicken breasts to eat for lunches in salads and sandwiches as well as for dinners. HOWEVER, baked chicken breasts can be dry!!!!! One of my go-to foodie blogs is Recipe Tin Eats by Nagi!

I’m so happy she posted this juicy baked chicken recipe.

I’m using the leftover mashed potatoes from Monday’s recipe to make potato cakes. I grew up on these. But these yummy cakes are seriously updated by Christina! You have got to check them out!

FRIDAY

Soup and Tex-Mex are a perfect marriage of flavor! Don’t you love all those great south-of-the-border tastes all merged together? This is my go-to recipe when I want that delicious flavor! And it is such an easy soup to make!

You can make it with chicken or cooked ground beef! YUM!

This soup can also be made in a slow cooker, just dump and cook on low for 5 hours. And it freezes wonderfully!

SATURDAY

I have a toaster oven/air fryer and it gets lots of use! But I’ve never tried air fryer salmon. I can’t wait to see how salmon turns out!!!!!! And the garlic mix on this salmon sounds amazing! Thanks, Natasha from Natasha’s Kitchen!

A word about Halushki! My grandmother made it and so did my mom. It is a heritage recipe. My roots are Hungarian and this recipe reminds me of home! I use very thin egg noodles and add a dollop of cottage cheese to the top of this flavorful side dish! Oh, yummy!

SUNDAY- FAMILY DINNER

I’m addicted to this recipe. I’ve made it for years and years and this chicken was one of the first recipes I ever posted! It is a crowd-pleaser! I save the carcass to make homemade stock or soup. I have learned not to waste any part of a chicken!

This is one recipe that should be on your menu, too!
