  64. If I could set a table anywhere I would like to go back to my childhood home and set a beautiful table under the grapevine arbor in my backyard. It was so cool, shady, and covered a large part of the sidewalk. The green leaves and purple grapes were so lush, and the sun peeking through the leaves was beautiful. As a little girl I would “play house” under that grapevine…I had a little wooden table and chairs, and I think Santa brought me a set of play dishes each Christmas. I loved to set the table and pretend…and I often think now, that is why I love to “play” with my dishes, set a beautiful table, and enjoy meals with family and friends. Thanks for the inspiring post and all your work !

  65. Mary Hartz says:

  79. If I could set a beautiful table anywhere I would enjoy the creativity and accessibility to our son’s college house. This house situated adjacent to campus in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia is know by the official name “Tree House” and is shared by twelve young men.

Just the name “Tree House” excites me with a plethora of table scape ideas.

Young college men would discover how the context and creativity of a correctly and attractively set table serves life skills for success. The Tree House decorated table may even be remembered as a special memory and teachable experience where the young men gleaned gentlemen-like poise, grace and confidence, no matter where their course of study has taken them.

Tree House would be where I would enjoy setting a beautifully (handsome) table.

I have always loved those pictures, and Allison’s book stirs the heart strings, of a long – really long skinny table with mismatched chairs, fine china, and lots of flowers set up for a lovely brunch or early evening dinner with good friends.
Thanks for starting my day with such beauty.

  82. Donna M Lloyd says:

  115. Gwen Sanders says:

There are beautiful flower gardens all around my parent’s Cape Cod house ….. Such a natural appearing landscape. Yes, natural, but perfectly planned with gorgeous roses, lilies and iris of every color. Even the trees my Mom chose have such interesting shapes and sizes.
She left this place in January and her handiwork lives on. This is the place where we would set a beautiful farmhouse table, decorated with her miss-matched glassware and antique China. Just under the filter of the fringe-like leaves of the big Drake Elm. She would love the whole experience, as would I.

I would choose a Best-est Girl Friends’ Luncheon in my beautiful, flower garden–that is a bit on the wild side… The table would be adorned with my grandmother’s crisp white linens, mix-matched Blue Willow dishes, cobalt blue glassware, and vintage wine glasses. Flowers from the garden and on the table would surround us with smiles. Each bite of food and each sip would be enveloped with old stories, memories, and laughter that only best-est friends would know and share. Nothing like the beauty of flowers, your favorite pieces, and memories shared with dear friends. Makes my soul soar…

  123. Sojna Widmer says:

This book is georgeous and inspiring. If !! I could set a table ANYWHERE it would be in France in Monet’s garden. The table would be rustic bleached wood. The chairs s would have pretty cushions on cane seats and backs. The table would have a rustic Cotten tablecloth with lace sewn at the edges. The napkins would be soft grreen flower sack Cotten . The dishes would be hand made plates and cups in soft terra-cotta and the silverware a mix and match of vintage pieces. Of course there would be flowers in clear vases. The table would be set next to the river so we could watch the swans drift among the lilly pads. The table would be beneath one of the flowering trees so flower petals could fall on the table as gifts from heaven and the fragrances fo the flowers would drive through the air and mindgle with candles as they burned. We would also have a wood fire burning. The smell of a fire pit is so wonderful. After we ate we could move our chairs and soft cushions around the fire and drink wine and tell stories that made us laugh. Yes that would be a perfect dinner with friends.

That picture of the bucketfuls of peonies just warms my heart. They are my favorite flower. I think they remind me of growing up in Illinois where my neighbor had them in his back yard. I tried many times to grow them in the San Francisco with no luck. Too chilly. We move (in 10 days!) to a lovely home in Washington State and I shall attempt to grow them again. Thanks for sharing. Since I don’t have a creative eye, I’ve learned to become a pretty copier of other’s beautiful pictures that rise up inside of them. (Including you Yvonne!). If I could create a place of comfort and beauty with some yummy food like shown in the pages of this book, I’d set it up under the poplar trees on a hidden small mountain top near my home in NC.

  129. I would set a table on the front porch of my grandparents’ house on the lake (we sold the house in 1999). The house was originally built in 1890. It had a long front porch with semi-circle windows. Back in the day there was a picnic table at one end of the porch. For a special summer treat, my grandma would let us have dinner on the porch: BLT sandwiches, lime jello with green grapes, ice tea, etc. Maybe even a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken when a franchise first came to the area. My grandma would pull out all the stops for an occasion like Thanksgiving. Since summer was over, that meant eating in the dining room rather than the porch. She had a white linen tablecloth, Towle sterling silver, Spode china and some pleated crystal. Summer, fall, winter or spring, setting a beautiful table makes any meal seem special. Hope everyone is making the best of this unusual summer!!

This isn’t the most glamorous spot at all. During this isolation we have been sitting outside in a large fenced in area where my husband parks his truck and does some welding and blacksmithing. We have some chairs and a gigantic fan to keep us cool. The fence is very unusual. It’s made from very large pieces of metal, called skeletons, that are left over after various pieces are cut out for clients. Each panel is different and the result is a very cool, artsy fence. I have though many times that with a bit of moving things around, it would be a great place for a beautiful table setting. So it would definitely be my chosen spot. Right at home with my husband and our big dog Harry.

  166. Sheila Allen says:

I would imagine my perfect table setting would be by the beach in Figi or Bora Bora. Perfect breeze, not to warm, not to cold…just right! Only the finest China, silver, and crystal set on a table covered in beautiful French linen with coordinating napkins will do for our picnic! 220. Mary Lynn Redmond says:

I have traveled to Provence many times, and I am always inspired by the magic of the location and how the terroir, sunshine, and close proximity to the sea provide such a feast for the senses. The many foods and artisans’ creations found in daily life including the vast array of olives that grow on trees found only in this area of the world, the fruits and vegetables that abound including the delicious melons from Cavaillon and grapes that yield the famous rosé wines from the Bouches-du-Rhône. Artists and artisans create fabulous products that reflect the connection between products, practices, and perspectives of Provence in their vessels and culinary tools made from olive wood, paintings of poppy and lavender fields, and linens with the symbols of the cicadas and gorgeous sunflowers. My favorite table setting would feature a farmhouse table covered with a Provencal tablecloth of blue and green with matching napkins and Provençal silver napkin rings in the shape of an olive leaf with olives. The centerpiece would be a long Provençal bread/dough bowl with several small candles inside it and small white and pink flowers with greenery filled in to create a soft and colorful representation of an authentic Provençal dinner table. The side board for the serving platters would feature a large vase of peonies and greenery. Merci!

Oh, and did I mention a babbling brook in the background? And to sit at my table I would want my mother, who passed away 2 years ago. 258.
This is the place where a beautiful farmhouse table, decorated with her miss-matched glassware and antique China. Just under the filter of the fringe-like leaves of the big Drake Elm. She would love the whole experience, as would I.

The photos she has in this book look lovely. One of the loveliest places for a gathering would be with family in my mother’s back yard. It used to be a flat grassy yard for kickball games but she & Dad transformed it into a contest winning garden escape surrounded by 8 block-lined beds. It was very English. And they looked just like this book. Thank you for sharing your goodness with all of us.

  265. Breathtaking mountain views serve as an ideal and gorgeous backdrop for a summer picnic in a sun-kissed meadow outside Asheville, NC.

I envision a rustic, European antique table adorned with hand-painted floral china, mismatched silver flatware, and vintage mason jars brimming with mint-garnished hibiscus tea. Wildflower bouquets gathered in ironstone pitchers act as simple centerpieces.

  266. In a vineyard or one of those long tables you see in an orchard or something

  267. Thanks so much for your wonderful give away Yvonne. What a beautiful book. Your friend is so talented.
During this time of “staying home” I am spending more time in my garden. I’ve been loving arranging the flowers from the garden. From daffys, tulips, iris, and now wonderful peonies and roses. So I’d have to do a Table set for my 4 girlfriends. We each celebrate a summer birthday so it would be our annual summer baby celebration in the garden.

Love your we I sure and all your recommendations!
You would make a great neighbor! ??

  269. Mary Frank says:

I would set it in my front yard during summer, as it is a central gathering point for most of my family and friends. I’d love to entertain them all!

  270. Erin Rizzo says:

My first instinct is to say the beach, I’m all about the beach. But, I love seeing tables in a field surrounded by wildflowers and kind of unruly. If I had the chance though, I would set up a table on some cliffs in Ireland, overlooking the ocean, with old ruin’s of old walls and that rugged look. See, I went back to the ocean. lol Figures.

  271. Cathy Pyle says:

This is such a beautiful book! Such perfect timing to be able to escape the chaos of our world right now and see the beauty in these pages! ❤️

  272. Deborah Grizzard says:

My youngest daughter was married in Sinalunga, Italy last year where there was breathtaking countryside everywhere you looked. We drove all around the countryside and often stopped and had picnic lunches in some of these beautiful areas. Would love to be able to do again with more elaboration as shown in Courtney’s new book. I think it would be hard for me to leave!!

  273. It would have to be on top of one of the mountains in Vermont with a view of valley and beyond. There is a special feeling that comes over me every time I spend time in Vermont. So biblical. Would be wonderful to set a table and enjoy all that Vermont offers.

  274. Love the feel and smell of getting a new book, plus the fresh ideas to be inspired by. And if it has a ‘country’ theme all the better! Thank you, Yvonne, for a chance at the giveaway! If I could set a beautiful table anywhere . . . actually, I did! It was in a secluded area of my local park at a picnic table to celebrate my best friend’s birthday. I went early and set everything up, so it was decorated and food laid out for when she arrived. Her gifts were part of the decorations. She loves a picnic and she was so surprised!

  275. If I could set a beautiful table anywhere, it would be my own dining room! (Not very creative I know, but my dining room is part of the entire living area, and I love coordinating everything!)

  276. Thank you Yvonne for the preview of Courtney’s elegant unique book and the kind giveaway ! I would set a table under the stars with vintage family silver and linens…and have everyone wish upon a star ! Anne

  277. I would set a table for breakfast, down on the Deschutes River, in the meadow. The Cascades mountains as a backdrop. The beautiful white tablecloth gently blowing in the breeze. A mason jar with Wildflowers and natural grasses as a centerpiece. Pure paradise!

  278. Dear Yvonne,

Thank you for this opportunity as it’s so kind of you not only blessing someone with Courtney’s Book, but giving her the love of a faithful friend.

I inherited from my Grandmother the love of serving others. To know that in a little while I’ll get to show love and care for my family and friends I get beyond excited. Even in creating hand made packaging of cookies, cakes, and food just does something to me. The thought of getting to create pushes me forward. If I did win this gift, it wouldn’t be just for me. The ideas and settings I’ll see, will extend far beyond those pages and stretch right into me creating love to the precious souls in my life. Even if I wasn’t chosen, just what I’ve somehow stumbled on today is so meaningful to me and I’ve already pulled a new notebook off the shelf and have my favorite pen waiting to plan for a get together no one even knows about. Thank you for keeping me inspired.

    Kind Regards,
    Cynthia C Kelly

  284. I would host a gathering in the court yard behind our ‘new’ house. The home was build in 1871!!
I’m working hard to do justice to this old beauty and bring it to life again! Someday I’ll host a gathering back there!!!

  291. Hi Yvonne..Courtney’s book looks and sounds amazing! My favourite part of hosting a gathering, other than seeing family and friends, is the planning. I love to create a beautiful table and love the inspiration you bring to us! I would love to host an afternoon tea with my friends in my backyard this summer, with all the flowers and shrubs blooming, and use them in a beautiful arrangement on the table. Alongside, I would use the beautiful silver tea set and China I received from my mom. I would make beautiful tea sandwiches, entremets and, of course, macarons. It would be a beautiful afternoon with the special ladies in my life.
We would dress up to suit the special get together, naturally, and everyone would go home with a beautifully wrapped box of goodies to enjoy later. Hmmm, I think this weekend would work!

  292. Beth Manor says:

I have a willow tree on my property near a small pond. There are bull frogs and Canadian geese out there. I think an old table from my great-grandmother’s farm along with a rocker from her kitchen would be fun! I have some hydrangea bushes and peonies out there as well. One of my hobbies is photography. I especially like to photograph flowers. I would put a bunch of peonies in some ball mason jars or an old basket. My great-grandmother sold eggs to villagers in order to buy her white Haviland china. I have inherited that china and would use it on the table! I live in the country in west New York state In a small town with only one traffic light!

  293. Jeanie Beeson says:

    Looks like a dreamy book!
We go out RVing as we have time and I like to make the picnic table and campsite as inviting as I can. Another trip is scheduled for July 4th celebrations so you can imagine the fun gathering up things for this occasion!

    1. OH, Suzanne! You must love your job! Thanks for commenting across the “pond”. I lived in Scotland and England as a child. I left part of my heart there when our family came back to the states.

  297. We just moved to our new house, so happy and grateful! Our new house came with an adorable chicken coop in the backyard and I have been imagining cleaning out the area and turning it into a beautiful garden. Having chickens roam around enjoying nature! This is where I would set up a picnic table, under the tree with chicken view! 🙂

Thanks for your constant encouragement to making my house a Home!

  304. I own her book” French Country Cottage” and it is beautiful! I would love to own this new book as a companion!

  305. I love entertaining, planning the menu and setting a beautiful table and enjoying my family and friends. I have done this as a military wife and a corporate wife in places coast to coast but probably my favorite occasions have been the times I have invited my mother-in-law and her friends from her retirement home. We have had a very flowery, chocolate laden Valentine’s luncheon just for the ladies with Mom and her friends and some of mine and an evening cocktail party for Mom and her friends, including a couple, to enjoy Christmas goodies and Christmas decor in a family home again. It is a real treat for these residents to be picked up and transported to someone’s home and entertained the way they remember from years past. I just wish I had started sooner and done it more often. That is how I would use the lovely book.

  306. Carolyn Prigge says:

I would set a table in the woods where I played with my cousins growing up. By the little brook and the spring and the little wild flowers growing there.

  307. Elizabeth says:

Thank you for sharing Courtney’s gorgeous book,I can’t wait to dive in! I love the way my mother would always set the table at home, even for a simple sit down to coffee with a neighbor. She would pick flowers from the garden and bring out her pretty china and glasses. She made everyone feel so special and welcome. That was her special gift of hospitality.

If I could set a table anywhere, it would be here in my humble little old house, using my mother’s pretty china and freshly picked flowers from our garden.

  308. I love Courtney’s style and am always inspired by her creativity. I’ve been setting outdoor dining spaces since the weather has warmed. It would be a treat to have her book in my library.
    xo,
    Karen

  309. Picnic food next to a creek somewhere in the mountains. While commenting my time is sure up fast for the robot( I am not a robot)!

  310. Enjoy your website so much, get great ideas and love the weekly recipes, use them a lot..Thanks

  311. Heather M Brown says:

My mother loved flowers, all kinds, but especially peonies! I’ve never really had the knack for arranging peonies nor any other type of flower or setting a spectacular table, but she sure did! It’s sad, but my generation doesn’t have the dinner parties that mom and her friends used have. I consider it a little bit of a lost art.

SO…if I were to set a table it would be in my mother’s presence…wherever that may be…

  312. In my grandmother’s front yard in Marianna, Arkansas between her bed of hydrangeas. And a mimosa tree. Nanny had every flower imaginable growing. I can still smell the scents from her screened in front porch swinging my heart out and singing hymns from the Cokesbury Hymnal.

  313. I have the French Country Cottage book which is GORGEOUS! Can’t wait to see this new book by Courtney Allison

  314. More than ever we need an escape from the world around us. I would live to have this book. But I do enjoy your posts, Yvonne. Fun to watch you in your new home and see how you tackle the open floor plan.

If I could set a table anywhere it would be on my parents farm among all their heirloom apple trees. My parents bought their farm in 1955, when I was born. My father is now 90 and my mother is 87. My father just retired from farming a year ago due to a stroke. I grew up on the farm and have picked strawberries, raspberries, cherries and apples. We always had a family run farm stand in the summer. Now their farm is up for sale. I have been planting my own favorite heirloom trees on our property to use for fall baking. I’m hoping I can share the apples with my grandchildren some day.

  329. Penelope Bartsch says:

Well, since this is a book about French Country Cottages, I decided to pick a spot along the River Seine near Maison Fournaise, where Renoir painted Luncheon of the Boating Party. I’ve never been there, but after reading Susan Vreeland’s fictionalized version of how the painting was created– with live models posing at the restaurant– I was happy to learn that the restaurant is still there, and still a working restaurant! I looked it up on Google Earth and was astonished to see that it looks much as it did when Renoir painted there, and it still sits along a beautiful stretch of the Seine. So I would like to find an expanse of lawn near the river, with trees and beautiful shrubs and set a big table covered with white cloth, beautiful unmatched China and flatware, flowers, and beautiful French food and wine! Next trip to Paris, I’m taking the train to Maison Fournaise!

This book takes me back to one of the most special memories of my life. Our eldest son and his wife had a destination wedding in Paris. The next day my husband and I took off for a beautiful and romantic Sunday in the country. We spent the afternoon at a beautiful country side inn and dined along a small river. Precious memory. We live in the woods in East Texas and I would set a table here on our property and invite family, neighbors and friends! And you of course!

Lovely book!! If I could plan a meal I would do one like the Picnic Dinners my Mother’s side of the family would have in Denver, NC. The first Sunday in August the folks would come from all over NC (Texas and Oklahoma , too) to gather under the big oak tree at the old home place on the starting Sunday of the week long Rock Springs Camp Meeting. I would have the favorites…Fried Chicken, Potato Salad, Cole Slaw, Country Ham Biscuits, Cole Slaw, BBQ and my Aunt Julia’s Lemon Meringue Pies! Plenty of Sweet Tea served in red solo cups and plates from Chinet! They would all be there again, sitting all around in folding chairs, and us kids sitting the ground on quilts…the Grandparents, the Aunts, the Uncles, my Mother and Father, my cousins. That would be the Best Meal, the Best Picnic Dinner ever!

  348. Mary Claire says:

I love when it’s our turn to host as it’s a great excuse to decorate not only my table but to open our door and share our home with those we love.

  354. Cindy Greenleaf says:

I love in a wooded area and to the left of our house is a clear area that is still covered by a canopy of trees. I would love to set up rustic tables and chairs but have real china, lace and flowers.

Since we are eating dinners at home these days, my table would be in our backyard.

  357. Nancy Livermon says:

On the way to our daughter’s house, there is an old dairy farm that we pass by. In that wide green pasture land, there majestically stands a lone old oak tree that spreads its mighty limbs providing protective shade from the hot Summer sun. I always day dream about enjoying a fanciful dinner table under this mighty Oak tree. Somehow this thought makes me feel so safe and serene, even though it is right in the middle of a wide open pasture!
I would love to see Courtney’s beautiful book for inspiration!

  358. Deborah Lazarou says:

  360. Deborah Paradis says:

Such a beautiful book!!! It gave me inspiration for ideas for my Surface Pattern Designing that I’m learning. It was such a breath of fresh air. It makes me want to “set” a table in a cool old, huge tree that has grown low and sprawling near the ground. Everyone would sit on a limb and a table cloth in the middle. Then all of the beautiful effects would surround the gorgeous, magical picnic/dinner. I hear the birds and see the fireflies. The glow of soft lighting. I’m ready!

  370. Phyllis Kelly says:

Didn’t take long to know I would set a beautiful table in the backyard of the house we moved into when I was in the 6th grade. It was in the country. The house sat on nearly an acre of land. I lived in that house until I was married and still drive by it every so often. That house and acre of land holds some of the most precious memories to me. If I could, I would go back and set a glorious table filled with food that brought generations of my family together every Sunday.
It would be set with the white china and the beautiful gold toned silverware my grandmother gifted me when my husband and I finally moved into our own home. I would add pieces I have gathered on my own to make it even more special. My grandmother is gone now and will always hold a very special place in my heart. I cherish her gifts to this day and use them often.

  371. Robin Jackson says:

I would set a table by a stream or lake so you could hear the water when you eat. The book looks wonderful!

I could pick beautiful ears of corn from the tall tasseled corn stalks and slice luscious red tomatoes, wonderful green cucumbers, taste the delicious green beans and devour the sunny yellow summer squash. All of this with a bouquet of sun flowers in a blue mason jar, an antique linen table cloth with red gingham napkins and a big pitcher of sweet iced tea—-yea I live in the south❤️

  376. Jacqueline Sbat says:

What a lovely book! Thank you, Yvonne, I have so enjoyed your blog for several years…

If I were to set a beautiful table anywhere, it would be on the balcony outside our master bedroom. Although my husband & I often enjoy a cup of coffee out there in the morning, I’ve never thought to set up a table & chairs & serve a meal just for the two of us! It is located on the front of the house (very unexpected) on a tree-lined street just 2 blocks from the beach. In the evening, you can hear the ocean & smell the salt air. I would use white linens & place white votives everywhere. I would carry up our rattan serving cart from the patio to use as a little bar. Oh now the ideas are flowing! Even though we have eaten in many beautiful places, this is the location I would choose!

  377. Thank you for giving your readers a peak inside of Courtney’s new book. I have always loved everything that Courtney does and was thrilled to get a glimpse of her new book. I know who ever wins a copy of this book will be inspired by reading it.

  380. Robin Richey says:

    I love that beautiful book!
It just makes you feel good to look at
    it!
I would set a table up in a beautiful spot in the woods by the lake or in a Vineyard with a lot of flowers! With old chairs and candles on table with the big flower arrangement! It would be all white dishes with the candles glowing!
The book would be standing in front of the flower arrangement in the middle of the table!
    My dream!??

  381. I would set a beautiful table on a beach at the NJ shore.

  382. Courtney is one of the most talented bloggers that I follow (including you Yvonne). Everything she does is so tasteful and beautiful. She makes flowers look more beautiful than they are, if that’s possible, when she applies her magic.

She’s beautiful too; I can’t believe she is the mother of three grown children.

I don’t have a barn or a big tree for an outdoor setting but if I had my choice I would have a she shed like Courtney’s with that gorgeous chandelier overlooking beautiful dishes and yummy food.

  383. One of the most beautiful parts of God’s creation that I have ever encountered in my life was at The Albatroz Inn in Cascais, Portugal (outside of Lisbon) where I honeymooned in late 1972. My parents and another couple stayed there earlier in 1972 and I was completely awed by their pictures and stories about the beauty of the Inn and other gorgeous areas of Portugal – a beautiful country I had never thought of visiting and one that had not become so commercialized at the time I was there. The 1870s mansion, formerly the Palace of the Dukes of Loulé and home to several families until the 1960s when it opened as the Inn, consisted of 11 beautiful, quaint rooms with private balconies, a dining room, a bar and the most gorgeous lawn you have ever seen (replaced by a pool some years later I am told). The lawn stopped not far from the edge of an enormously steep and rocky cliff that dropped off to the beach and ocean below. I have never seen anything since that compared to the incredible view from the top of this cliff as the waves crashed against it onto the beach below. In the glimpses you gave us into Courtney’s beautiful new book, I can imagine one of her tables set with the spectacular view from the top of the cliff at this Inn onto the beach below. I understand the main building of the Inn still remains the same, but like so many other things in life, additions have been added and it has been modernized for the sake of tourism but I will always remember the way it was when I lucky enough to visit!

I have been here. It is absolutely beautiful. The entire town is charming and so are the people. I have visited Portugal twice and both visits were so fun. I have beautiful handpainted dishes made from red clay from Cascais – I had taken the train there from Lisbon and carried them all the way back to the hotel and during the plane ride back to the states – (this was during a time when you could bring multiple carry-on pieces) – I didn’t want anything to break and I was so happy about my lovely dishes. My arms were killing me from how heavy the dishes were. Sweet memory.

I think it would be great fun to set a beautiful table underneath the branches of the 100+ year old weeping beech tree behind the Chateau sur Mer in Newport, RI. From a distance the tree just looks like a big, verdant mass but if you walk beneath the greenery there is a beautiful bower created by the trees branches. It would make a great location for an inspired gathering.

  414. Tables are my favorite to decorate and much of my inspiration has come from Stonegable. White linen, with flowers, candles and delicate glass garland, woven throughout would set the mood for an intimate luncheon with dear friends. The setting would be on my porch deck, overlooking the small lake on which we live.

  425. Carol Cole says:

I’m one of those people who feels emotions on a deeper level – not always a good thing. However, when I see something really beautiful to me, I get butterflies and maybe a little weak in the knees. I’ve been known to swoon over collections of pretty summer dresses that just hit the floor in shades of pink and rose especially. Most people don’t get that so I try not to swoon in public. Long story short this book’s photographs couldn’t be more gorgeous with the glassware and china and then the beautiful flowers. Where would I like to be with all this? If dreams could come true I’d be with Grammie under her honeysuckle tree listening to her tell me that all this was way too fancy and I shouldn’t have gone to all this trouble just for her.

  426. I would set a table in my backyard, under the trees close to the perennial gardens. The table would be set with lovely china and glassware and my daughters and I would enjoy a Victorian high tea together.

Crystal, and Fostoria glassware would be sparkling on the tables. My grandmother’s beautiful table cloths and napkins. Each place setting using silver passed down generations! Can’t wait!

  429. I would love to win this beautiful book. Always looking for inspiration and can never get enough!

  430. Lorena Keech says:

Outside a thatched cottage in Ireland, overlooking the ocean.

  431. Love Courtney’s new book. I am also a fan of France. I have been there 5 times and several with my daughters. I am half french from my mother’s side so I feel an affinity for France. I have to say that I love setting the table for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I try to do it different every year. I read your blog to get ideas for my table setting. They are never as nice as yours but I am still trying.
Congrats to Courtney on her new book!

  432. I would set a table for two on the shores of beautiful Lake Louise surrounded by summer larkspur in Alberta, Canada. My table would be draped in white linens with ivy enhanced candles. I would let the glacial aqua of the lake and sunset dictate any other decor.
