Now let’s talk about summer decorating! A big, big thank you to Gina at Shabby Creek Cottage for putting this great summer home tour together!

Today’s post is L-O-N-G!!!! Lots of pictures to show you!

This summer is all about stripping down and not adding a whole lot of extra decor to StoneGable! I love to “let my house breathe”!

SUMMER HOME TOUR- Come on in and take a peek at StoneGable dressed up an laid back for summer!

The picture below really characterizes StoneGable’s decor style. The window with its large arch and door with its transoms is an example of how these two styles marry together at StoneGable. Updated classic and refined farmhouse… that best describes my home.

SUMMER HOME TOUR- Come on in and take a peek at StoneGable dressed up an laid back for summer!

If left to my natural tendencies I decorate a little on the formal side. Thank goodness I also love rustic pieces and farmhouse charm. I think those elements can soften a formal look. I want StoneGable to look refined and timeless but comfortable and welcoming!

SUMMER HOME TOUR- Come on in and take a peek at StoneGable dressed up an laid back for summer!

I paired a classic spindle chair with a fun rustic stool made from burlap and a crate!

SUMMER HOME TOUR- Come on in and take a peek at StoneGable dressed up an laid back for summer!

As I hone my style and curate decor for my home I am so drawn to neutrals. And black! For me, they are easy to live with and used with lots of texture are not only interesting but restful! I keep telling myself when I’m ready to add color having a neutral color palette will make the transition easy! But so far I’m living happily with my neutrals!

SUMMER HOME TOUR- Come on in and take a peek at StoneGable dressed up an laid back for summer!

One little nod to the season… sea shells in a white bowl.

The white chair in the foreground is one I just painted and reupholstered. It was black with very boring fabric on the seat! I painted it white and gave it a little soft antiquing. And covered it with leftover fabric from the curtains.

SUMMER HOME TOUR- Come on in and take a peek at StoneGable dressed up an laid back for summer!

Lucite stacking tables make me swoon! I love love love lucite! These little tables work great here. They are perfect for putting something on when sitting in the white chair but visually don’t get in the way! I think lucite plays well with any decor!

SUMMER HOME TOUR- Come on in and take a peek at StoneGable dressed up an laid back for summer!

With this home tour, I’m trying to let you see different perspectives of my home. Angles and areas that you may not have seen before!

See that little blue sliver in the picture below? That is Bobby trying to jump out of the picture!

I just have to tell you (and pardon my gushing) Bobby has been the best husband any woman could have. Most of you know that I have had two ankle surgeries since mid-December. And have been mostly wheelchair bound and it’s been a wild ride, to say the least. Bobby has done everything!!!! Grocery shopping, cleaning, cooking, laundry, getting me to physical therapy and so so so much more! All while working a 50 + hour work week!

And Bobby has been my lovely assistant for this photo shoot (and many others). For hours and hours he has cut flowers from the garden and vacuumed rugs and hid cords, and moved chairs 2 inches this way and that. He oiled soapstone countertops and went to a local nursery to get “lipstick pink geraniums” and got a little miffed when I called him to make sure he knew the color I wanted. Of course, he knew lipstick pink. Really? Isn’t that darling? He found just the right tea towel to add to the cake vignette on the island and even had a backup choice! Talk about trying hard to please me!

While prepping the foyer for the shoot Bobby vacuumed the foyer rug. I noticed it was taking him for-ever! I wanted to get these pictures taken before I lost the light. So I questioned him. Bless his heart! He said he had to vacuum the rug both lengthwise and widthwise to work with the nap. Who says that? My heart melted into a big messy puddle at my feet! Then of course, he cleaned that up too!

SUMMER HOME TOUR- Come on in and take a peek at StoneGable dressed up an laid back for summer!

So I’m saying right in front of everyone who reads this that my husband who brings me coffee every morning and makes sure I have fresh towels to shower with and lays out my clothes (albeit they are always white top and black capris… bless his heart) and calls from work to check on me and does a thousand other things… YOU are THE BEST!!!! And I am so so blessed you are my oh, so wonderful husband. Your life exemplifies servant, godly love!!!!! I love you with my whole heart. Thank you for walking through this hard time with me and carrying me most of the way!

O-KAAAAY! Back to the house tour!

The foyer sits between the living room and the dining room. It’s quite open and I like to keep the foyer pretty utilitarian. Who says utilitarian can’t be good looking too?

The foyer rug is so much fun!!!!!

SUMMER HOME TOUR- Come on in and take a peek at StoneGable dressed up an laid back for summer!

Our front door… lots of light! Note to self, change the hardware! I love to mix metals and have no problems with brushed chrome, oil rubbed bronze and brass all living happily together. But those closet doorknobs gotta go!

I keep a large lantern near the door. The candle is on a timer and gives such a pretty glow at night!

SUMMER HOME TOUR- Come on in and take a peek at StoneGable dressed up an laid back for summer!

I’m thinking about painting the back of my front door!

SUMMER HOME TOUR- Come on in and take a peek at StoneGable dressed up an laid back for summer!

Let’s walk through the foyer and head towards the dining room.

SUMMER HOME TOUR- Come on in and take a peek at StoneGable dressed up an laid back for summer!

Because we entertain family and friends (hopefully, when my ankle gets back to normal I’ll do more of it) I kept out the extra ghost chairs. Again my favorite lucite!

Hobbes photo bombed this picture!

SUMMER HOME TOUR- Come on in and take a peek at StoneGable dressed up an laid back for summer!

This summer I chose to use a very edited hand in my dining room.

I found these vintage white ginger jars at Luckett’s in Va! If you ever get a chance to visit this amazing vintage/ antique/ country/ hip market don’t miss it! I find the best things there.

I feel like I’m channeling my inner 80’s with these! Added a little starfish necklace to each!

Let’s head the kitchen!

My kitchen is going to have a little refresh this summer. New backsplash, new refrigerator, repainted and new island light fixtures! I can’t wait!

Gotta have our coffee.

We have three varieties of peonies in the garden here at StoneGable. These are the lightest and our first bloomers. Their heavenly scent wafts through the downstairs!

SUMMER HOME TOUR- Come on in and take a peek at StoneGable dressed up an laid back for summer!

A little metal cart sits at the end of the island. It holds just a tiny smattering of my cookbooks! I read cookbooks like some people read romance novels! Who knew cookbooks could be such a guilty pleasure?

SUMMER HOME TOUR- Come on in and take a peek at StoneGable dressed up an laid back for summer!

Right off the kitchen is the breakfast nook…

Can you find Beau the wonderdog’s ball?

I brought in a wicker chest to replace the coffee table for the summer!  Adding a galvanized tray makes it very usable! We are stashing throws and extra pillows in the chest! LOVE extra storage!

  1. You have such a lovely home. Thanks for sharing. My next project will be a drop table that I bought at estate sale not sure where it will go but once I get it refinished it will find a new home. Thanks for all your inspiration.

  2. Candace Pettyjohn says:

Just lovely – fresh and welcoming.

  3. We are moving on June 1, and you just gave me a lot of awesome ideas Yvonne. I could look at your home all day and always find something different to look at. So beautiful thank you so much for opening up your home I know it’s not easy.

  4. Anne Marie says:

Oh so beautiful – love your home.

  5. It all looks so beautiful and so inviting and so fresh and ready for summer. I love ghost chairs and pairing them with antiques and a little vintage is a fabulous way to use them in my opinion. Your husband sounds fabulous, much the same as mine, Roddy does so much for me, he never tires of helping out when I need to take photos for the blog, aren’t we so lucky to have such lovely husbands, I truly do count my blessings and am grateful every day.

  6. Christine says:

Just lovely!!! Your home is so light, bright and airy… Mine is so dark!
Oh, and your Bobby sounds like a keeper 😉

  7. You have such a lovely home. Your husband certainly loves you and is a keeper! Blessings for continued happiness.
I was trying to get to the other home tours but most of the links don’t get me there. 🙁

  8. Annabelle says:

Absolutely beautiful and peaceful and warm and charming.
I have a few questions and hope that’s permissible.
    1. Is the door in the living room (behind a chair) one that goes outside?
    2. How many clocks in your home? Love them.
    3. Where do you put the Cuidahy box from the kitchenette table to have room to eat at?
    4. Also love your “invisible” chair design…absolutely fabulous. Does Lucite scratch?
    5. Very original idea to paint the back of your front door. What color/design is going through your mind?
    6. Where can I order a “husband” like yours? 🙂
    7. Great job, well done, congrats to the both of you. Can you get around when he is working? I’m praying
for the quick recovery coming soon.

    1. Annabelle, What great questions!
      1. Yes the french door in the living room goes to our porch
      2. I have a clock in the living, dining, and family room. I have a thing for decorative clocks!
      3. When Bobby and I eat we push the Cudahy tray to the side. When we have others around the table we move it.
      4. I guess Lucite does scratch, but I have not found that to be the case. I use a soft rag (never paper towels) to wipe them down and a feather duster to dust them off.
      5. I’m not sure what color I’d paint the back of the door. I think shiny black would be so fun and dramatic, but it might look too heavy. I was thinking a charcoal or light gray.
      6. Lol! My husband is one of a kind. But he and our marriage were not always like it is now. Our first years were quite an adjustment because we are very different people. We stuck it out and stayed committed to each other and prayed a lot. Some things are worth working on! We are really a team, both of us together make a whole and I would be lost without him! He is truly the BEST!
      7. I can get around. In the last 2 days, I’ve been using a walker. We are still renting a stair chair so I can get up and down our stairs. I have great friends who have been bringing me meals and I have a friend who works for me with blogging things. She could literally run my home. She knows where everything is and helps he get things for a photo shoot and then puts them away.

My blog has been a lifesaver more than one way. It’s kept me active and focused and motivated to walk. I AM very blessed to have all of YOU in my life! xo

  9. You are blessed!! Your home is lovely and your husband is the best! Thanks for sharing. Enjoy your day.

  10. Sandra Barnhart says:

So beautiful and relaxing looking at these pictures. Tell Bobbie he did good on the tea towel such a nice pop of color in the kitchen.

  11. Just lovely Yvonne. I love the lamp shade on the chest in your foyer. I have noticed it before and have kept my eye out for one with that shape but haven’t had much luck. Do you have any ideas where I might find one? Thanks Yvonne, and best wishes on your recovery.

  12. Marilyn Gillis says:

Totally awesome summer tour!! Your home is just lovely! Love hearing about your hubby too!

  13. What a visual treat to wake up to this morning! Lipstick pink, neutral colors, black accents =perfection!! The term ghost chair tickled me. I know you appreciate the jewel of a husband you have!

  14. What a lovely home! Thank you for inviting us in for a great tour! You are always an inspiration!

  15. The lipstick pink geraniums add such beautiful color to your lovely neutral home! I think my favorite coffee table, to date, is the wicker chest you chose for summer. I love the bold texture! Thanks to you and Bobby for the tour!!!

  16. Oh my Yvonne … you have a gift there. You have such a special touch when it comes to your home. It is stunning and beautiful. I love the lightness of it and especially all the little details. Your how-to’s are so inspiring to many including me. We have followed you and redone our powder room with the main wall covered with white washed wood and loving so much. Thank you for being so creative and inspiring!
    Wishing you a lovely day.
    Karen B.

  17. Your home looks beautiful and very inspiring. Your home tour gives us so many ideas that we can incorporate into our homes. Thanks for this wonderful blog.

  18. Thanks for ideas. I like the floor lantern next to front idea…what a cozy greeting to visitors who come by at night

  19. Ohhh…so beautiful and so inspiring. Thank you for sharing your lovely home!
How did you ‘antique’ the white chair in the living room?

  20. Your home looks very inviting and comfortable. Did you white wash the brick on your fireplace? I’ve been thinking of doing that to my fireplace brick but a little afraid because it is the major focal point in the room and goes from floor to ceiling (14 ft).

  21. Your home is always so beautiful and welcoming. And God bless you and Bobby. It’s always a blessing to have a wonderful husband!

  22. Nan, Odessa, DE says:

Thanks for the tour! Enjoyed everything you shared.
Promise,, oh promise, if you ever want to sell your dining nook table you will let me know.
You have a beautiful home, like your style and taste, but that table is my ALL TIME FAVORITE piece of furniture.

  23. Love the home tour! I also love seeing Hobbs! I think our four-legged friends help make a house a home and i love seeing them in the photos. My husband and i still joke about a house that was for sale years ago. When we pulled up there was a golden retriever on the deck and we jokingly asked the owner if the dog came with the house. Now every time we pass that house we say,”We would have bought that house if the dog came with it!” Thanks for the tour of your lovely home!

  24. I love your light fixtures in your dining areas. Could you please tell me the vendors?

    Thanks,
    MK Shukis

  25. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. It can’t be easy to have things looking so good when you aren’t even up and walking around. Kudos to you! Your husband is a great partner. I have a husband who supports me also, and I couldn’t have done so much to my home or in my life if it wasn’t for him.

  26. Bloggers often talk about pets and kids but I seldom see signs of them. Good to see Hobbes photo bombing the shot and the dog’s ball under the table! How about a picture of Bobby? He sounds like a terrific guy! The starfish “necklaces” … are the starfish just hot-glued to strands of twine? Thanks for the tour.

  27. Your home is beautiful and so is your husband! You are blessed in oh so many ways!

  28. I never tire of looking and admiring your lovely home. You get to use so many many cool textures that I so love…and do such a great job at taking so much white and making it look cozy and inviting, not cold. How could something look so light and bright and airy with sooo much stuff everywhere, well you pull it off beautifully. Well done.

  29. Beautiful Summer tour Yvonne…I think the Summer tour is my fav or yours!…Have a most wonderful Memorial Day weekend…thinking of you!!! xoxoxo’s

  30. Susan McCoy says:

Really enjoyed your summer tour. Not living near a beach, I am not into real “beachy” decor, but I am inspired to add little subtle touches as you have done. Great ideas!

  31. Beautiful tour- as always you do it right – but the best part of the tour was the love of Bobby. What a guy. I love and adore a man so comfortable in his manly skin that he can do things like that for his hard working wife.

I have a Bobby too named Michael and he does things like that for me all the time – I call it “letting me shine.” And I am brighter for it, let me tell you. I am blessed beyond words, too.

Hope your ankle gets better and better, sweet lady. God bless you and yours. Have a wonderful summer. Hugs. ♥

    1. If you have a “Bobby” then you know how blessed we are! I wish every woman could find their Bobby!

  32. I love your light and bright home. It has such a laid-back and beautiful summery feel to it! So beautiful!

  33. So lovely Yvonne. I’m so impressed that you can make it look so different with just a few changes. Thanks for being such a good teacher!

  34. Teddee Grace says:

What a lot of work you went to to get ready for this! Your lovely home is impeccable and I was especially interested in seeing the corner with the spool chair since I don’t think I’d seen it before.

  35. genie steger says:

Oh so beautiful and summery! Love the ghost chair, are they strong enough to sit on?…..I am thinking of them for future as a contrast to our very simple shaker like rustic reclaimed wood dining table. And your peonies are so beautiful

    1. Hi Genie, The ghost chairs are very sturdy and comfortable. And they are stackable.

  36. It’s always a pleasure to “tour” your home. I’m loving your summer look. Neutrals plus black looks amazing!! Last Christmas your bread box with greens and pine cones inspired me to do the same in my bread box (I have the same one!) and I loved the look. I confess I never thought to “summer it up” until I saw yours on your tour. I love the flowers and color popping out of the simple black and white metal bread box. So pretty! I can’t wait to do something similar with mine! As always, you inspire!!

  37. Your home is simply dreamy to my eyes. All of the thought that has gone into creating such an amazing home -eye candy for me!!
I love your style and I am really enjoying your blog, learning and being inspired to create my perfect home. All of the rooms are just so special and you should be very proud of the beautiful home that you and Bobby share. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to being inspired by all of the different projects you share with us as readers.

  38. Simply beautiful! Thanks for inspiring us.
I’ve been corralling my table scapes with platters because i usually I don’t have tray/basket large enough but I also use pictures or frames. The glass reflects candlelight very nicely too.

  39. Love all of the vintage in your home! That clock is so neat! So happy to be on the tour with you!

  40. Carol Elkins says:

Your home is beautiful! It looks so warm & inviting!

  41. Donna Trulli says:

Your summer tour is wonderful, as always. I never miss any of your tours, ’cause I never fail to get ideas from them. Get better soon.

  42. Love your rug in your dining room. Is it still available?

    1. HI SUZY!!! Yes the rug is from Ballard Designs. It’s an indoor/outdoor rug.

  43. You and Bobby have worked well together to create a warm and inviting space. The love shows in your combined efforts!

  44. Vicki N. Martin says:

I love really everything in your home Yvonne. I like your wood floors they are so pretty. I also like the colors of your furniture. Really just everything. Thank you for sharing.

  45. Lovely, lovely home. Thanks for the Home tour ~ very inspiring.

  46. lovely home, thanks for the tour!

  47. So pretty, fresh, and inviting. A lovely transition from fall/winter colors, decor, and smells. I love when my sheers are flowing from a gentle breeze and window boxes are taking root from new plantings…aren’t we blessed!

  48. Minnie mccoy says:

Thanks for the pics! Love it all but I do take a fancy to the big clock above the fireplace the most.

  49. Maria Awad says:

I love the Home Tour, you and Bobby did a great job! Your home is amazing.

  50. Your home is light, airy and so welcoming.Your husband sounds like a
great guy, he’s a keeper and you both are blessed to have each other.

  51. I’m loving the pared-down dining room, Yvonne, and really like the family room with the hearth more exposed as I feel it’s opened up the room more now that the stars have been removed. The whole tour was lovely. I had my husband helping me after my first knee replacement but, sadly, he was gone by the time I needed the second one. It is such a comfort to have your husband around when recovering from surgery.

  52. Your home looks so stunning. I love all of the organic elements you have added. And that hide rug just pops so beautifully – so glam!

  53. Julie Briones says:

Your home looks lovely, as it always does! You know what my fave piece of furniture is???? Your three tiered tray/table! I really, really swoon over that. I’m hoping to make a ‘fake high-end’ version of it. 🙂

Definitely inspired… always am from your posts, whether it’s to make my home more peaceful and beautiful, or draw closer to the Lord!

  54. Just beautiful as always, my friend! And that Bobby – he’s a keeper! Your tribute to him brought tears to my eyes. What a blessing and what an amazing love he has for you! I’ve been praying for your successful recovery from you ankle surgery. Looking forward to talking to you soon! xo’s

  55. I love your home, Yvonne, no matter what the season. Always fresh and welcoming! And oh, I love the orange kitty that’s pawed her way into one of the pictures.

  56. Anne Porter says:

Absolutely love every room and every detail ! But, even more, I absolutely adore your loving tribute to your Bobby! I have learned over the years that for a creative person to be fully creative, a supportive spouse is one’s greatest asset! Thanks for acknowledging yours!!!!❤️

  57. Maggie Nelson says:

Love your summer tour and I like that you always incorporate vase with fresh flowers and small plants.

  58. I’ve wondered how you continue to post with all that you have been through. Now I know! You have you’re Bobby. Can I ask where your family room rug is from? Love it!

  59. The wicker chest you brought in for the coffee table is great, perfect summer touch, and the lucite looks so good in your decor.
    Beautiful as always!
    xo Pat

  60. Your home is beautiful and your life is very blessed! I have a great husband and I am so thankful for God sending him into my life! I hope your recovery is fast and that your ankle becomes stronger than ever before!!

  61. I’m always so head over heels with your home, Yvonne. I would have never guessed you’ve been going through so much. Every detail is stunning! So glad to hear you’re on your way to recovery. That hubby of yours sounds like quite the keeper. 🙂

  62. It’s always so fun to tour your home, Yvonne! So classy, welcoming and warm.

  63. I really enjoyed touring your home. It’s lovely! Thanks for sharing the source of your dining room light fixture. It’s beautiful. Speedy recovery to you! Cynthia

  64. Pam Griner says:

    Ahhhh…love it!!
    Cute blue sliver!!

  65. Lovely tour, Yvonne! I enjoyed it.
I love that sweet orange kitty, too. I had an orange tabby growing up named Moxie. She and I were inseparable.

  66. This was fun. So nice about your husband. God is good!! One thing I remember is your stairs. I like the colors that you say are your favorite as I write, I realize your stairway says it best!! Touches of black, neutrals, and white with natural textures. And I smile for tonight I stepped out to pick a few hydrangeas and gasp. All wilted!! It’s been so very hot and none of us know if we are on strict watering yet despite declarations that the drought is over! So I did turn on the sprinklers for a fast run and that meant no picking anything out front! I’d turned on sprinklers!! But your garden flowers throughout the rooms are so beautiful. Eye catching!! And that bright tea towel?!! Sizzling like my 102F today!!!

  67. Outstanding décor, you definitely know how to put things together, just lovely. I spied your orange tabby cat on the stairs, our orange tabby Tommy was 19 we sure do miss that little fellow. I spied the ball under the kitchen table too. You’ve got a gem on your hands, he has a good eye for color-way to go Bobby. Yvonne you hurry up and get well, I can’t wait to see what you have up your sleeves next.

  68. Beautiful home tour. Your home is just stunning. I love how fresh and bright it is.

  69. Just BEAUTIFUL Yvonne!!! So gorgeous! I love how bright and airy your home feels, with just the perfect pops of color, and of course all your plants 🙂 Makes me so happy, and so calming to look at!! Have a great day friend!

  70. Your home is beautiful, bright, and welcoming. I can’t wait to see what you do with your kitchen.

  71. bobbi duncan says:

Hi, Yvonne. Of course you know, from previous remarks, I just love your home! Thanks for sharing–I never tire of looking at it and all the fabulous décor ideas you come up with. You and I are both lucky ladies; my hubby is a dream come true as well. After a bad 18 year first marriage, God saved the best for last! Like you, I feel blessed every day. This man has been through so much with me–serious health issues and such–but God must have known Michael was the man cut out for the task. There is no better feeling than knowing you deeply love someone, and the same feeling is returned. Have a wonderful day!

  72. Beth Brown says:

I absolutely love the “bread box” planter. Do the geraniums do well inside?

    1. No, unfortunately! I’ll plant them outside in a few days. But don’t you love that hot pink?

  73. Your home is just gorgeous! I love all the texture and layers. Thanks so much for sharing!

  74. Shauna Neuenswander says:

Your house is just beautiful. I am never disappointed. So any wonderful ideas. Where did you get your olive trees?

  75. Hello Yvonne,
Loved the summer house tour and personal touch with the lovely note about Bobby! You are blessed with a wonderful husband!

  76. Your house is absolutely beautiful! Thank you for the tour. I enjoyed all of the pictures. You and Bobby did a great job. It is wonderful that you have a supportive husband. I have always liked the little lamp you have in your foyer. It is the perfect piece. I have got to take another tour!

  77. You have such a gift and I never tire looking at your home. It is the perfect combination of beauty and comfort. Can you tell me where you purchased those tall think potted plants? They are just the look I have been searching for.

  78. I’ve lived in Northern Virginia for 17 years and never made it to Lucketts. It’s nice to look at your home. We are getting g ready to sell our house e and the agents have. Add us remove most of the personality from it. I’m camping out in the house until it sells. My next house is an unknown as far as type and style. Looking at your home gives me ideas for what might be thank. Thank you for the small indulgence I have taken for sitting down for a few minutes to enjoy your home. I am looking forward to having one in the future.

You inspire me! I purchased some neutral sea star pillows for our sofa, and I can’t wait to get them…I love changing out my decor and you have given some wonderful ideas for me to polish the look a little more!

    Thank you! God Bless!

    ❤Beth

Love the white ceramic lanterns on your entry credenza! If you don’t mind sharing, where are they from?

    Thank you!

    1. Hi Elizabeth, I get asked that question a lot! Those came from Potter Barn outlet several years ago. I’m always looking for them but they must not make them anymore!

  81. I love every single thing! You have inspired me to spruce up my accessories for the summer-which I never do. I tend to focus on the fall and winter, but I am going to try to do a little something special. We have many of the same pieces in our home, I was excited to see similar items with a new look. Inspired me to do some tweaking. You mentioned Lucketts, I was unable to get to the big show last weekend, but I love the monthly Design House! Wanted to also add that you might be interested in checking out “My Kitchen Year” – a great cook book with a personal story woven in. I think you will really like it.

  82. Lynn Fowler says:

Bobby is the best! I also have a wonderful husband who is going through a very hard time, right in the middle of a bathroom reno! His poor knee is giving him misery. Tomorrow we`re off for another injection that I am praying gives him some relief. You and I both have hit the jackpot where our precious husbands are concerned. Bless you both.

  83. As always, your home is beautiful no matter what season. I look forward to reading your new blog posts every day. I wonder if you could share your decor sources more often if it wouldn’t be too difficult for you. I’m sure many of your readers are inspired to style our homes like yours.
In particular for your summer home tour, would you mind sharing your sources for the wood lantern, white clock and distressed white pictures (behind the white chair) in your living room? Thank you!

    1. Hi Lynn, Thanks for the suggestion! I’m going through a blog makeover soon and will add that to the list

  84. Your home is so beautiful. There are so many items I would love to borrow.

  85. Avril Crundwell says:

I love how simple changes in little details can transform the atmosphere of a home to welcome in a new season.

  86. Portia Read says:

    You are blessed!
    Bobby sounds wonderful!
He should have a blog for good guys.
I like your summer home so much. It’s been a whole year now since I found your blog while I was dealing with the aftermath of two foot surgeries. I will continue to pray for your total recovery. Today is a follow up with my foot surgeon for some lingering issues. Thanks Yvonne for your cheerful and loving inspiration.

    1. Portia, I am blessed! And it really keeps this foot “thing” in perspective! Hope you are recovering well!

  87. Just love the wicker chest you’re using for the coffee table. I’ve been on the hunt for one. Is it a vintage find or a newer acquisition?

  88. Your words about Bobby have brought tears to my eyes; so, so sweet and heartwarming. God bless him.

  89. Thanks for such beauty – refreshing and calming.

  91. Tricia Collins says:

I just had to tell you how much I enjoyed this peace not because of your house which is lovely but because I too have a”Bobby” by a different name and it prompted me to txt him a special thank you. We sometimes get so busy with life we forget to do the little things that matter! Thanks for the reminder!

  92. Wendy Howell says:

Beautiful as always!! I think I see new chairs in the breakfast nook, very nice!!!

  93. Susan Jackson says:

Your home always inspires me! Can I ask where you got your new kitchen eating area hanging light from? I don’t think I’ve ever seen an orb style with the glass inserts.

  94. Where could I find the chest of drawers that is in your living room? It is just beautiful!

  95. Thank you for spending breakfast with me this morning. I loved the tour and appreciate all you share with your blogger friends. My question regards the FR Trunk. Do you think the lid would be strong enough for a 175 pound man to sit on to put shoes and sox on if I put it at the end of our bed? Thank you for any advice.

  96. I like the contrast of the dark shutters and white lamps. As always, burlap catches my eye. I have recently covered some to add to my July mantel which was done in Red and blue with touches of burlap and a couple of chippy white items.
Thanks for your ideas and sharing your lovely home.

  97. I will never get tired of looking at pics of your home. Love everything! I can’t wait to see the refresh of your kitchen — which looks fabulous to me now and I can only imagine what wonderful things you will be doing in there!!

  98. Bobby sounds like a wonderful husband and person. Sorry your ankles still causing you problems

  99. Anne Porter says:

Love it ALL! If you do paint the back of your front door, what color?

  100. Dixie Francis says:

    Hi Yvonne,
Thanks for the wonderful tour of your beautiful and peaceful home. I really love the inspiration you give to me every day. We have a horse farm so live in the Country. I really love to add my handmade and redone items for inspiration like you do.
    Thanks, Dixie
