SOFT AND NATURAL THANKSGIVING TABLESCAPE

NATURAL THANKSGIVING TABLESCAPE . An easy to set nature inspired Thanksgiving tablescape.

It’s time to be thinking about setting our Thanksgiving tables. Even if you are not hosting it’s fun to set a pretty table now and enjoy it until turkey day! This year I was inspired by natural elements like blue and white pumpkins, seeded eucalyptus, pinecones and acorns. These all work together to make a magical and soft table when mixed with white dishes! No fuss here, just beautiful organics and great and simple dinnerware!

I am more than thrilled to be a part of THANKSGIVING TABLESCAPES 2015! A big thanks to Bree at ROOMS FOR RENT for inviting me to join in and be a part of such a magnificent group of bloggers. You are a sweetheart and I love you to pieces! Thanks for putting this hop together!

Today’s tablescapes are at the bottom of this post! YOU don’t want to miss these! To see Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday’s tables visit Bree for the list and a peek at each table!

The inspiration for this table came from the blue pumpkin and natural napkin rings. Everything took on a natural feel with a little sparkle from the Mercury glass candlesticks!

In the center of the table an oval bronze tray spills over with pumpkins, pinecones and seeded eucalyptus.

I’ve gotten a whole lot of use out of my blue pumpkin and baby boos!

Because I wanted a very light, bright and soft look I used a white tablecloth as a base layer. And to bring more organic texture to the table I used woven placemats.

I’m wild over high contrasts and high/low style!

The napkin rings were made from empty toilet paper rolls that were covered with burlap and the stylized flower on top of each were made from pinecone arms and acorn tops! You can see a very easy diy for PINECONE AND ACORN NAPKIN RINGS  HERE!

Although the table is made up of lots of organic materials, I wanted the table to have a little bling too! Mercury glass candlesticks hold creamy white candles and baby boo pumpkins!

  3. Beautiful! I love it all.

I just wanted to tell you Yvonne that everytime I come to your blog and see that little nest with the blue eggs in it that is on your header (I guess that’s what you call it) it just puts the biggest smile on my face and makes my heart happy!! That’s one of the reasons I like to start my day with your blog.

Wishing you and your readers a blessed day.

What a stunning tablescape! Just beautiful!

  5. Yvonne, you never cease to amaze – what a splendid table! Can you tell me about the seeded eucalyptus? It is such a beautiful filler around the gorgeous pumpkins! Is that something that you can typically find at your local florist’s shop, or do you have to special order it?

  6. Your tables are always inspirational. I love your centerpiece of pumpkins. I still have to set the breakfast room table, so you have given me great ideas.

  7. I can always count on tons of inspiration from your table Yvonne. It’s simply lovely and I think I’ll be a copy-cat for almost all of it! Wish I could make your demo at Pottery Barn. They are lucky to have you! Good Luck!

Thanks for sharing your Thanksgiving inspiration!
Tell me more about the seeded eucalyptus. Do you grow it, is it faux, WHERE can I buy some?
Adds so much softness to the vignette.

Looking forward to your next post!

You outdid yourself (if that’s possible!!) with this beautiful table, Yvonne!

I love the soft colors, the touch of glam from the mercury glass and the natural elements! The lack of orange makes for such a nice change, too. Give yourself a big pat on the back …. wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving from your Northern neighbors.

  17. An all white table has a different look for Thanksgiving. While it is soft and natural, it has a very sophisticated feel.

  18. Yvonne,
    Elegantly done, dear friend!!!
I adore the centerpiece with your blue pumpkin and the baby boos!!!
I haven’t a clue how my Thanksgiving Tablescape will be set as I leave it til the last thing!!!

Think I’ll head over to view more Thanksgiving Tablescapes in your Blog Hop!!!

  19. Love this tablescape- one of your very best, Yvonne! Sure would have loved to have been in your area to have joined you all for your class at PB – what a wonderful thing that would have been to have met you in person!

Hey: I have a piece of constructive suggestion: You know we bloggers always put our best shots up top as our first picture, right? You do it well and it always grabs my attention…..and most of the time your do text graphics on it as well – another “come hither” to be sure! MY suggestion is to continue doing so, but also have the same pic later in the body of your post WITHOUT the graphic text on it – because we’re losing a good opportunity to pin a truly stunning picture all on its own. It’s not as though you are showing it twice – you’re just showing it differently is all. : – )

Anyway, thought I would share that, been meaning to do so for a while now and today is the day, haha. God bless. Big hugs. ♥

  20. I love the white turkey salad plates–where can I find them??

  21. Where did you get the basket placemats/chargers? Love them!

  22. Karen Smith says:

Would you please tell me where you got the white turkey plates- and the white dinner plates with the dotted rim?

    Love the look!

    Thank you!

    1. Hi Karen, the plates came from our local Pottery Barn Outlet. Hope this helps.

  23. Sarah Barr says:

Your tablescapes are what first attracted me to your sight! So very beautiful! I enjoy seeing what you come up with and incorporating that into mine! Thanks!

  24. Marcie Thomas says:

I stumbled across this table design by chance in Pinterest. I’m glad I did. It is the perfect combination. My style is a blend of rustic/farmhouse and refined. Love the combination of earthly and metal elements. love mixing old and new. This table scape is a nice balance for me. But it’s also very versatile in that it would fit other styles as well. Congrats on a job well done.

  25. Dawn Thomas says:

Such a beautiful tablescape! I like how you used natural with a touch of bling.

  26. Found this post via Pinterest, and I love this tablescape! Do you recall where the water goblets are from? Looking for something similar to add to my own collection. Thanks in advance!

  27. Thanks for all the lovely Fall ideas. I have enjoyed every bit of it! Love the inspiration!!!

  28. As always, great ideas you have shares. Love the kernels of corn story. I shared it at our Thanksgiving dinner last year.

  29. Where can I get a blue pumpkin and also the little white ones?

  30. Hi again, Yvonne. Last year, I congratulated you on this lovely tablescape. It is one of my most favorite things to “play” with! I have a question I hope you’ll have the time to answer and that is about the … food! How do you serve your guests? Do you have a wheeled cart you use on which to place the bowls of potatoes, gravy, etc? Or do you plate each dinner in the kitchen then bring each plate in the dining room or what? I would love to know how to NOT disturb a tablescape while feeding guests!!

  31. Where did you get the white turkey plates? I love them!

    1. Hi Sandy, I found them at our local Pottery Barn outlet a few years ago. Hope this helps.

  32. Darlene James says:

Hello, I am a very textile person and your table scape wins the gold! The napkin rings woven chargers and pinecones just made it pop! I wouldn’t change a thing…truly Beautiful!

  33. I have never been fond on cooking (like baking, though!) but adore creating tablescapes! I’ll spend hours on the process and find it SO relaxing; the same goes for flower arranging and decorating. If only I could hire a chef! Can you please tell us readers what you do about food when leaving the Tablescape intact! In other words, how do you serve your guests when there’s no room on the table for the platters and casserole dishes? Besides myself, I’m sure others would love your input and advice!

  34. Lindsay Hubbell says:

Where did you get the basic white dinner plates? I love those!

    1. Hi Lindsay, My Mikasa White Italian Countryside are the work horses of my kitchen!

  35. Lori Petrone says:

Truly the most gorgeous table design I have seen. Love it.

  36. Where did you get the turkey plates and the beautiful glasses?

    1. Hi Jillian, the turkey plates came from the Pottery Barn several years back. I don’t think they carry them anymore. Sorry, I can’t give you happier info!

  37. So many detailed photos but not a single one of the entire table? Come on.

    1. Hi Karen, this is a tablescape, not a dinner. I serve all my dishes buffet style. Hope this gives you a better perspective.

  38. This is a REALLY beautiful tablescape!!! I love the soft colors. So inspirational!

  39. Gayle Grasso says:

Where did you find the beautiful blue pumpkins are those real or fake? This is so me LOVE LOVE LOVE!

  40. Ivee Maughan says:

What did you use to put the pumpkins in? Thanks! Really beautiful tablescape!

  41. Hi, Love this soft white/blue Thanksgiving tablescape! Can you tell me where you got your blue pumpkin? I’m doing tables for our Christian radio station’s 35th anniversary party in mid-October. I keep going back and forth between blue or teal or coral (jade and coral are the two colors (jade modern, coral traditional)) for the 35th–which could be beautiful together, but probably not with pumpkins). Oh, decisions, decisions! Any input would be welcome! Thanks for the beautiful example and have a great day!

    1. I found the pumpkins locally. But many of the blue ones I painted. Find great faux pumpkins and paint them the color you want. Blessings on your anniversary party!

  42. Tink Bayton says:

Yvonne, I am in love with this Thanksgiving table setting. What a beautiful presentation for the arrival of family and guests.
My I ask where you found/bought your salad plates please?
I am wondering if you will be using this setting in your new home this Thanksgiving?
    Blessings to you and yours,
    Tink

    1. Hi Tink, the turkey plates were from Pottery Barn several years ago. I don’t see them on their site right now. And yes, I will set a Thanksgiving table this year!

  43. Di Scherbarth says:

Your table is lovely and so full of surprises. I love the pumpkins on the mercury glass candlesticks. I also love the stemware glasses. Can you tell me where they’re from? Still available? Many thanks for sharing!

    1. Hi Di, the stemware was from Mikasa. It’s called French Countryside. You can see them here:Hi Di, the stemware was from Mikasa. It’s called French Countryside

  44. I absolutely love your tablescape. Everything!! I would like to use some of your ideas for my son and soon to be daughter-in laws, Fall Rehearsal dinner. I was wondering where you got your grapevine placemats. Love the white on white with the brown accenting.

    1. What a lovely idea for a Fall Rehearsal Dinner! The grapevine placemat came from Pottery Barn years ago. I don’t see it on their site anymore.
