For me, fall begins on September 1st no matter what the outside temperature and weather! Fall is my very favorite season and I want to celebrate it as long as I can. Because we love to eat seasonally here at StoneGable that means my recipes start to change too! So, here’s what’s on the menu this week…
Dinner choices become a little hardier and warmer when fall rolls around! We still have a garden full of tomatoes so we are having lots of tomatoes with most of our meals to eat up the remains of summer!
And as I said last week our apple tree is VERY… well, fruitful this year! So I’m making all kinds of very delicious apple recipes. One tried and true apple recipe I’ve made for decades is RAW APPLE CAKE. This is a must make! It freezes so well too!
I hope you find some great recipes to add to your menu this week…
Some recipes bring back wonderful memories. And my Nani’s Sauteed Chicken is not only scrumptious but it is also filled with delicious memories of my grandmother’s kitchen. Posting this recipe was like giving all who read it a gift! You will love and maybe it will spark memories for your family someday too!
- NANI’S SAUTEED CHICKEN
- MASHED POTATOES
- ROASTED BROCCOLI
- GARDEN TOMATOES
Seriously beautiful recipe. I love fish and lemon and cream sauce. Recipe Tin Eats is a great place to get the yummiest recipes!
WEDNESDAY- COMPANY’S COMING!
LOVE a recipe that has a video. I’m working on my video skills to bring you recipes by video. LOVE learning something new!
Gotta see this porky-good recipe from The Kitchn. I love (did I say ❤️ AGAIN?) easy recipes so I don’t have to fuss when my guest are here.
- BACON BROWN SUGAR PORK TENDERLOIN
- GARLIC PARMESAN ROASTED POTATOES
- BLEU CHEESE PEAR AND HONEY ROASTED WALNUT SALAD
I’m addicted to sheet pan meals! How easy and less clean up. Scrumptious is the word to describe the look of this one-pan chicken dish from Chelsea’s Messy Apron!
- ONE PAN BALSAMIC CHICKEN AND VEGGIES
- GARDEN TOMATOES
We’ve had the best season for corn this year! It’s sweet and juicy and just perfect for roasting and making into soup! I’m making a double batch of this Roasted Corn Chowder and freezing it so I can have it when the local corn is long gone!
The beer bread is a MUST TRY! It’s so easy and my family can’t get enough of it. If there are any leftovers it makes great toast!
We should eat pizza more often. It has such wonderful flavors, right? And deep dish pizza is my favorite! Here’s a great recipe from Tina’s Chic Corner. I’ll be buying the dough from a local pizza shop to cut down on meal prep.
Cafe Delites is one of my favorite foodie haunts. Karina’s recipes are absolutely delicious! If you haven’t perused her site you should. YUM! I think oranges and salmon are a perfect pairing
THIS WEEK’S SWEET TREAT
Turn a tube of crescent rolls into delicious apple filled croissants. So easy and a real taste of fall!
This is an oldie but goodie StoneGable recipe.
Hope your week is scrumptious!
