Happy Independence Day! I hope you are celebrating today! Here at the Tanglewood House, there are lots and lots of summer dishes On The Menu week of July 4th.

Ready for a scrumptious week?

MONDAY- HAPPY JULY 4TH!

Today is a great day for a cookout! And that means BBQ chicken! Happy Birthday, America!!!!

We have lots of family here to celebrate!

This 4th we are grilling chicken. I love this recipe because of the delicious rub. Have you tried using a rub on grilled chicken? It is delicious. Thanks, Jennifer @ Carlsbad Cravings.

TUESDAY

One of my little grandsons LOVES my meatballs. Actually, these meatballs are Grandma Lo Bianco’s recipe. My wonderful friend Fran gave me the recipe. These are the best meatballs and so easy to make.

WEDNESDAY- INSTANT POT DAY

I almost forgot about Sloppy Joes! What a blast from my childhood past! Thanks, Michele from Midlife Healthy Living!

If you don’t have an instant pot you might want to give one a try! It took me a while to warm up to this small appliance but now I love it!

See my InstantPot in the Kitchen Store below.

THURSDAY

I’m so excited about dinner tonight! I think this salmon recipe from Carlsbad Cravings sounds so delicious!

Baking salmon is so easy. But salmon is best when it is topped with something. And this salmon is topped with dill sauce and a tomato cucumber salad. Oh, so yummy!

FRIDAY

When my children and their families are here, Friday nights are pizza nights! My daughter makes the best homemade pizza dough. It’s not hard but does need a little time to rise. So we start the dough early to let it rise and develop lots of flavor!

We bake the dough on the grill and then finish it off with toppings in the oven. Tastes like a wood fire pizza!

SATURDAY

I LOVE one pan meals! Flavors have time to marry together and one pot means easy clean up. Thanks to Emily’s Bites, tonight’s dinner is both delicious and easy to clean up!

SUNDAY

These gorgeous steaks from Kalyn’s Kitchen are perfect for a steak and “potato” style Sunday dinner! YUM!

TREAT OF THE WEEK

Zucchini grows like weeds here in Lancaster County! But what delicious weeds! This week’s sweet treat is a beautiful and delicate Glazed Lemon Zucchini Bread. It freezes well so make a few and save some for later!

  1. The link for the pizza dough was wrong (it went to the zucchini and rice). Can you fix it, I’m looking for a new dough recipe!

  2. I am so grateful for all of the recipes you share. We’ve fallen in love with the Arugula salad and plan to try your Garden Fresh Zucchini Boat recipe tonight. Thank you!
