  1. Blue and white have been my favorites since I married almost 50 years ago. I can’t get enough of it. I’ve been fortunate enough to shop garage sales and find many blue and white treasures for just pennies on the dollar.

Yvonne, I consider you to be the best of the bloggers and I have a question for you. I live in an area with only two furniture stores. We are wanting to downsize our large sofa and love seat with four comfortable arm chairs. Can you recommend any of the on-line companies for a good quality chair we could order ??

I love your new home and I especially love your Sunday posts.

    1. Yes, Ethan Allen has a wonderful online presence and everything we get from them is just stunning. Also, Ballard Design is amazing. And Wayfair has beautiful well-priced things. Read the reviews, ask about returns (usually custom furnishings can’t be returned), and get lots of fabric swatches.

We just ordered a leather recliner that looks like a chair in a light-colored leather and traveled an hour and a half by car to see it in real life. We did the same thing when we ordered our sectional for the sunroom. Here is my best advice, I would look online and find a few pieces I love and then make a day trip to see it in real life. Our Ballard salesperson waved the shipping fee (over 50.00) for making a purchase in person. Saved us gas money!
