For God So Loved The World

Merry Christmas! God’s message to the world is one of love, peace, hope, and joy. And it is wrapped up in a babe in a manger. For God so loved the world…

Merry Christmas, Friends! I hope this day finds you in the midst of your loving family and friends! But no matter where you are and how today finds you, you are blessed!

Yes, we are blessed! Because today we celebrate the greatest gift ever given. And this gift is given to us!

Here’s what the Bible, God’s real and true word says, in John 3:16…

For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

This is the story of Christmas! And the story began way before that precious babe was born in a manger!

This is a story of love and peace and hope and joy! It is the greatest LOVE story, friend.

No matter who we are or what we have done God loves YOU and me! And we can never out sin God’s grace (undeserved blessings)!

God wants a true and intimate relationship with us! Just as we are! So He sent Jesus, God incarnate, God in the flesh to earth as a baby.

I think we should always read John 3:16 along with verse 17…

For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world but that the world would be saved through Him.

God sent Jesus to the world. He would live like us and experience everything we experience and love us just like the Father.

His birth would be lowly! Wise men came looking for Him in a palace because He is a King. But the King was born in a place for animals and put in a feeding trough. He was a humble and lowly King full of love for all of us.

It’s impossible to talk about the birth of Jesus without talking about the rest of the story. And simply put, Jesus came to us to die. To die for us. Because of sin, we have severed our relationship with God and Jesus came to take our sins away on the cross and reunite us eternally with the Father.

And by this babe’s death, all men can become right with God if they believe. Believe what? Jesus’ mission on earth was to save!

The apostle Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 15:3…

that Christ Jesus (the Anointed One) died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised again on the third day according to the Scriptures.

Christ died for our sins, and God raised Him from the dead. That is the sign that Jesus and Jesus alone can save. He lives! And because He lives you can too! Eternal life is a free gift!

We celebrate Christmas (Christ’s Mass) with lots of decorations and traditions. Glitter and bows and trees and more! So so much more! And we talk about love and peace and hope and joy.

This is Jesus. He is our love and peace and hope, and joy. All wrapped up, not in Christmas trappings, but in real flesh! He is our greatest gift!

Make time for the only begotten Son of the Father who offers us eternal life!

God bless you today and always! Merry Christmas, dear friends!
