CHRISTMAS BEDROOM

This is the second part of our Christmas 2021 Home Tour!

Here’s a little recap of what you can see in part 1.

This year’s Christmas tour is white and snowy! All because I got two FLOCKED TREES!

I’ve always dreamed of having flocked trees for Christmas and this year have two!

You can see the living room all ready for Christmas…

And the dining area dressed up too!

And my favorite room, the kitchen, has a dusting of pretty Christmas decor as well!

Make sure you stop by and see the 2021 StoneGable Christmas Tour, Part 1.

I had a bit of a mishap and broke a rib last week. UGH! So I’ve been a bit out of commission and Christmastime is no time to be out of commission!

I meant to share our front porch, our foyer (redesigned) our sunroom, and our master bedroom. But I only had pictures of the bedroom taken before my rib broke.

So today I’m sharing just the bedroom. A big thank you to everyone for being so so understanding!

The inspiration for this year’s Christmas bedroom was our new flocked tree!

CHRISTMAS BEDROOM

Our bedroom is on the small-ish size and I have not had a tree in our bedroom since we moved into the Tanglewood house. All I had to do was move a couple pieces of furniture around so I could put the tree by the window.

Our bed is dressed in velvet and fur, perfect for the cold weather that is coming to Lancaster County!

I’ve had the Mongolian fur pillows and throw for years now and pull them out every Christmas. Bobby and I don’t care for a heavy down comforter. The ones we have had in the past usually end up on the floor at night.

So we opt for light layers. The brown washed velvet cover is quite warm and soft and light.

The color palette for our Christmas bedroom is white, cream and a soft brown. With organic touches of green!

CHRISTMAS BEDROOM

A white tray sit on the bed and holds a few jingle bells, white snowflakes, a little faux evergreen and real paperwhites! The fragrance is so heady and beautiful!

I found these real white poinsettias down the road at an Amish greenhouse! I am not a poinsettia fan but I love these little ones! They are just so small and sweet!

Next to the poinsettias are woodblock painting of an angel and a cross. My friend Lynn gave me the angel last Christmas and my daughter-in law’s lovely mother Victoria gave me the stylized cross. They sit on my nightstand all year.

CHRISTMAS BEDROOM

On the shelf under the bedside table is a large paper tree. I found these on a clearance sale a few years ago and bought six! So I put two of these pretty trees on in our bedroom!

I love trees! And collect them at Christmas. Do you have a Christmas collection? Here is a post I did a couple days ago about How To Decorate For Christmas With Christmas Collections.

CHRISTMAS BEDROOM

Bobby’s nightstand has another little poinsettia and a framed Christmas card from from our son’s family. We like to frame family Christmas cards and display them during the holidays.

CHRISTMAS BEDROOM

A bench holds some of my wrapping supplies and packages. I like to wrap smaller gifts on my bed.

I usually buy lots of wrapping paper when it goes on sale and keep it from year to year. I have quite the stash in the basement!

CHRISTMAS BEDROOM

I keep a tray with gift cards, ribbon and other bits and bobs to tie up Christmas gifts!

CHRISTMAS BEDROOM

You don’t need a big room to have a tree! This flocked tree is only 5 feet tall and 30 inches at it’s widest part! It’s the perfect tree to add to a small-ish room!

CHRISTMAS BEDROOM

I used the same tight color palette to decorate the tree. A wide taupe and white striped ribbon and metallic balls, jingle bells, stars, pinecones, gilded leaves and gold berry fluff.

All the ornaments on the tree are things I already had. I keep all my ornaments and other things in boxes by color. It makes them so much easier to find!

CHRISTMAS BEDROOM

We don’t have a dresser or chest of drawers in our bedroom. We have a large walk-in closet and this mirrored armoire.

The glass helps to make the room look bigger.

A faux fur stocking filled with flocked greens is tied to the door handle with the striped ribbon.

This year I did not put our stocking on the mantel. I wonder if Santa will be able to find mine?

CHRISTMAS BEDROOM

I hope our bedroom has inspired you to decorate yours…and maybe even put a tree in it!
