BUTTER TOP BEER BREAD
A buttery easy to make beer bread. It is so delicious!
Servings 1 loaf
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 TBS sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 TBS baking powder
- dash salt
- 2 TBS vegetable oil
- 1 12 oz bottle beer
- 1 TBS butter melted
Preheat oven to 400 ° and grease a loaf pan.
In a large bowl add the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Whisk until all these ingredients are well incorporated.
Add the beer bread and then the oil to the dry ingredients and mix with a spoon until just incorporated. Do not overmix.
Turn the batter out into the greased loaf pan and drizzle the melted butter on top of the batter.
Bake for 45 minutes until the crust is deep golden brown and the bread is done.
Cool in the pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes. Then turn the loaf out and cool on the wire rack.
Slice and enjoy!
