EASY BUNNY BREAT

Bunny shaped bread made with grocery store bread dough

Ingredients

  • 1 tube refrigerator breadstick dough
  • 2-4 TBS butter, melted
  • salt (for savory bunnies)
  • cinnamon sugar (for sweet bunnies)
  • chopped herbs like chives and parsley (for savory bunnies)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for savory bunnies)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven according to the breadstick package.
    Flour a work surface and pull apart one breadstick from the roll.
    Fold the breadstick in half and twist each side of the breadstick around each. Leave enough room to make ears. Flatten the end a bit as shown.
    Place each bunny breadstick on a parchment lined rimmed baking sheet.
    Cut off a small piece of a dough breadstick and roll a little bunny tail. Stick on the bunny as shown,.
    Scramble the egg in a bowl and use it as an egg wash on the bunnies.
    Bake according to package directions.
    After you take them out of the oven brush them with melted butter.
    Sprinkle the savory bunnies with tender herbs and salt and sprinkle the sweet bunnies with cinnamon sugar.
