Christmas is closer than you think! And I’m getting a head start with a little help from the kind folks at World Kitchen CorningWare & Corelle. They asked me to set a Holiday tablescape using some of their beautiful Corelle dinnerware!I was thrilled to learn 1~ if my tablescape was lucky enough to be their favorite it would be recreated in my local CorningWare & Corelle store AND 2~one StoneGable reader will win a $250.00 gift card to CorningWare & Corelle!
So… I put together a Woodland Christmas Tablescape. I wanted this table to be bright and cheery and also have a warm, cozy, organic feel… like a Christmastime walk in the woods!
I have been compensated for this post. All the opinions are 100% mine, and would highly recommend Corelle dishware!
The Christmas Woodland tablescape started with these pretty red and white dishes on the rattan chargers. The white square dishes are Corelle Boutique Cherish. They are beautifully embossed! You can get a little glimpse of the embossing near my watermark! These are really lovely white dishes! And you know I have an eye for white dishes!
The salad plates in this picture have a sassy swirl that I topped off with a red individual baker, both from CorningWare & Corelle.
I love red and white and browns together! It’s a fabulous combination for creating a natural feel!
I am not so much of a matchy-matchy gal, so I mixed and matched Corelle dishes to give this table a layered look! Don’t you love to layer dishes?
I am no stranger to Corelle. I ate off of them everyday growing up. Boy, how some things change! Yes, Corelle is still light and durable and very sturdy, but the choices and patterns and styles are sooooo updated! They are amazing!!!
Here’s another peek at the embossing on the white dishes… SIGH! I tucked a sprig of evergreen and a little pinecone under the Cambridge Conquest Sand soup spoons for a little woodland color!I
I just couldn’t decide between the swirl plates and the Corelle Livingware Bandhani plates at the store, so I got both and alternated them on the table.
This is one of my favorite tablescape tricks! I think it gives a table an extra punch of interest!
The Cambridge Conquest Sand flatware and brown and white checked napkins are caught up and tied with a big, festive, red, bow… after all, it is Christmas! I added more greens and a tiny pinecone to continue the Woodland theme. I love the pattern of this flatware from CorningWare & Corelle. It’s not too serious and sorta fun. Like a walk in the woods should be! The swirls remind me of wind sweeping up and swirling the leaves!
I used the Corelle Boutique Cherish Appetizer Plates to rest the pretty flatware package on! These lovely embossed plates will be used for rolls and butter.
How easy would that be for you to do to?
I chose sturdy, red Corelle mugs for after dinner coffee. They sit in Corelle Square Happy Days Cereal Bowls. But they won’t be holding cereal! They will hold a very special Christmas dessert… Sticky Toffee Pudding With Vanilla Sauce. Oh, YUMMY!
I love putting dessert dishware on the table. It gives my guests something to look forward to!
Doesn’t this bowl have a great shape?
Adding extra pieces fill the table in and makes it interesting!
I used brown ribbed goblets that I have had for years and years!
The burlap runner down the center of the table is filled with things you would find on a walk in the woods!
This centerpiece was very easy to do. It stared out with a fall leaf and acorn garland I got for 60% off a a local craft store. It runs down the table in a loose S pattern. In the center of the table I laid down a clump of faux birch branches.
Next I added 2 white lanterns. Can you imagine walking down a wooded trail just before dusk with lanterns. Very romantic!
When the lanterns were in place I added Christmas “fluff”. That to me is bits and pieces of faux evergreen. I have a few boxes of “fluff” I have collected over the years. Pine and spruce and fraser and other bits of evergreen!
The last things added were the pinecones and the small Christmas balls to draw a little red into the centerpiece!
See, easy! You could do this centerpiece too!
Did you notice that the candles are shaped like pinecones?
This was such a fun table to set… and I loved working with all the Corelle dinnerware! And just think, I can use this dinnerware again and again. Valentines day, Memorial Day, 4th Of July, Labor Day and any day in between!
And here’s a extra little tip… this table would also work with just a couple changes for fall too! By replacing the red with a neutralor fall colored Corelle accents you could set a table from Septemeber to Thanksgiving! How easy is that!
I hope this table has given you some ideas for your own Christmas table and inspired you!
I’ll let you know if I win. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
