THE SCOOP #262

THE SCOOP- Get the best of all the decorating blogs all in one place!

This is the first spring image this year on StoneGable. I’m so so ready for spring! How about you? Just an update on my left ankle. I am now in a boot and walking with a walker. But, I am in so much pain I want to say a bad word! I won’t but I’m in the awful part of my recovery. And unfortunately, I can’t style anything new… but I have so much great new content! I’ve been reading about decor and talking about decor and sleeping and eating and breathing all things decor! So I have lots and lots to say. Hopefully, I’m on the back end of this ordeal. One great thing about this recovery time is the decorating podcast I’m part of…

Decorating Tips and Tricks. You can listen to all the podcasts by clicking on the word PODCAST right under my StoneGable header! I hope you are listening!!!!

FEBRUARY 2017

We are…

New banner June 2014

Yvonne from StoneGable
and Suzy from Worthing Court

Our host this week is Anita from Cedar Hill Farmhouse

Anita here. I’m so humbled, excited and full of happiness. When you make something it becomes a part of you. Making the podcast with our Yvonne of Stone Gable and Kelly of My Soulful Home has been something so close to my heart. We wanted to share decorating ideas with our friends, but in a fun, informative way that welcomes everyone. I didn’t know what the response would be. We had hopes that connections would be made, that it would be a fun listen, and wow, just wow. I can’t even express our gratitude to the listeners. It’s been in the top 1% of the iTunes design category since we launched. The only explanation is that we have the most amazing friends ever!!! If you haven’t taken a listen, just check out the link below to listen to the most popular episode so far,

Trends for 2017.

  1. Yvonne, I just read about your pain. I am so sorry. Have you started PT yet? The practice I went to in Central Lancaster County was excellent and “manipulation” was so helpful at the beginning. I called it intense massage. Anyway, praying for less pain and a great recovery for you. R. French

  2. Thanks, Yvonne, for all your inspiration. So sorry to hear you are experiencing pain–part of the healing process, I suppose. Don’t do too much, take time to relax. You are a” get up and go girl”, so I know it is hard to just sit around. I will say a prayer for your healing.
I love the podcast! All three of you are fantastic!

  3. I am ready for Spring when all the pretty flowers appear. Our Daffodils are starting to come up. Thanks again for the great ideas.

  4. Yvonne thank you and your friends for a great podcast. I’m using some of the tips in my home today.

  5. I am definitely ready for Spring! I’ve been making my huge Spring To-Do list and can’t wait for the warmer weather to begin all my projects! Have a wonderful Valentine’s Day!

  6. I always look forward to The Scoop! Thanks for the great ideas! Praying that your pain goes away and complete healing of your foot!

  7. I’m so sorry to hear you’re in so much pain, when you were looking forward to being a little more mobile, and getting back to styling things! Be assured, we friends are praying for you!
Loving the podcasts! They’re so much fun…thank you! 🙂

  8. I’m sad to hear you’re still in so much pain. But, you are making progress and the end is in sight. Stay strong!
    I’m loving the podcasts!
Off to check out the link ups.
    Happy Valentine everyone!

  9. oooh, SO many links to look at….I’ll be here awhile! I did not see a fur covered bench in the picture you had for the Magic Brush. 🙁 I hope you are feeling better soon…. I did not think you would still have such pain at this point in your recovery. I know it must be a hard time for you. My dog broke my leg 5 years ago and I didn’t realize how hard it would be to learn to walk again. Crazy. I was so thankful for great PTs. Be a good girl and do what they tell you! 🙂

  10. Feel better……you have gone through a long haul physically and surely it is wearing thin. Prayers for your continued recovery. Thanks for another great Scoop!

  11. Yvonne, I’m so sorry that you are in so much pain. Please continue to go slow and I’m praying for a wonderful recovery.

  12. Yvonne, Such a long exhausting recovery you’re experiencing. I’m so sorry and send prayers that you will experience the peace of Christ in the midst.

  13. I am new to your blog, and just subscribed to it in the last week, from a link in another blogger’s post. I have to tell you how much I love it! I went back and read a bunch of past ones, and it has inspired me with many new ideas! Thank you for taking the time to share this with us!

  14. I am ready for spring too! Only problem is, I live in Texas so spring is just to short! Seems like a week of lovely weather then its 100 degrees thru September! LOL

  15. Sorry to hear you are having more problems with your ankle! So hard when a person can’t get around so easily. Have had both knees replaced and can sympathize! Hope this passes quickly! Until then maybe you have found a good book. We have had an unusual winter but at least some sunshine. Take care

  16. I am praying you will start feeling better soon, Yvonne! Thanks for the Scoop, the Podcast, and some early Spring ideas. We’re already experiencing some unusually warm weather in Texas (off and on, then it cools down) and my Texas Mountain Laurel is starting to bloom! Before we know it, I’ll be getting out my birds, bunnies, and nests.
