SIMPLE OUTDOOR VIGNETTE AND MY FIRST YOU TUBE VIDEO
The pollen is laying in thick green puffs all over my porch and patio. So now my once clean outdoor spaces are covered with that familiar green dust. I spent a few hours today scrubbing off the front door area of the house and noticed that the hydrangeas I planted flanking the front door a couple of weeks ago are still looking rather sparse. What they needed were a few companion plants to make the area around my front door look friendly and inviting… especially for Mother’s Day!!!!
Thanks to the kind people at Balsam Hill I knew just what to use to fill up that area and make it pretty! They sent me a beautiful double ball boxwood topiary (and they are on sale now!!!!) to use in my decor. And the topiary can be lighted. So coooooool! Doesn’t the boxwood look realistic? I’m trilled to be able to use it in this simple vignette!
I put together my very first video… pollen and all… to show you how I created this little outdoor vignette for spring!!!

How nice for your son to help you with your first video, you must have raised some beautiful children. If he has time to help his mother he is ok in my book. I loved the pictures but had trouble with the video. Also the other day I got a notice of a new post — potting hydrangeas. I love hydrangeas and I would love to know which ones would work best in a pot. I couldn’t get the post. There was nothing. Is there a post with potting hydrangeas?? Your front porch looks beautiful. A wonderful inspiration.
I love, love, love hydrangeas and have a lovely spot right outside our front door for a big planter. Which hydrangeas grow well in pots? I’m so pleased I found your blog. I can tell I’ll be here as often as possible. Happy Mother’s Day.
