On the menu this week are lots of great summery foods. We are eating corn and zucchini and raspberries and onions and tomatoes from our garden and local farmstands. Talk about farm to table eating. And we are grilling! Nothing is better than a fresh piece of meat or fish grilled and served beside veggies picked out of the garden! And we have lots of peaches on hand grab and bite into! YUM!
Today on Decorating Tips And Tricks we are talking about WASHING AND CARING FOR LINENS. If you have linen or other natural fabric on your furniture this is an episode to listen to!

Here’s what’s on the menu this week…
The fish on today’s menu looks luscious! I just bought a FABULOUS Cuisinart Air Fryer (See it below) and we bake and make so many dishes in it so we don’t have to heat up the whole oven.
- BAKED FISH WITH LEMON CREAM SAUCE
- PARMESAN BASIL ORZO
- GARDEN TOMATOES
Chicken Cacciatore is a big favorite of Bobby’s. I’m making a new-to-me recipe that I think he will love. Don’t be afraid to try new versions of favorite recipes. You just might find one you love better. And change is a good thing!
When life gets hectic and too busy to fuss I turn to easy peasy hand held items on the menu! Like these darling little ham cheese and spinach puffs. I can grab and go!
Beef brisket is an on the menu treat! We don’t have it often and we should. Everyone here at StoneGable LOVES brisket. And brisket makes fabulous leftovers!
Another new to me recipe.
One of my favorite foods is crab cakes. OH, YUMMY! I’m not a fan of a lot of filler. Just enough to hold everything together.
The best crab cakes I have ever eaten were at The Farmhouse in Toughkenamon Pa. They were held together with shrimp mousse. If you get a chance to eat there you should. The Great House on the golf course is wonderful too!
- ONE SKILLET CHICKEN WITH FIESTA CREAM SAUCE
- SLICED GARDEN TOMATOES
This recipe could have said, “Salmon in mud topped with oranges” and I probably would have given it a try. Just on the merit of this lick-the-computer-screen beautiful image! We certainly eat with our eyes first!
TREAT OF THE WEEK…
These are such easy ice cream sandwiches to make. And if you make them ahead and freeze them they will always be on hand. YUM!
I added raspberries to the ice cream and it gave these non-traditional ice cream sandwiches a bright and fresh taste!
Here are some of my favorite things for cooking and the table…
