Succulent topped pumpkins are the prettiest things! I think mini baby boo pumpkins and tiny succulents were made for each other. They are both very trendy right now and the succulents add such a nice topper to these little white pumpkins! And they are so easy to make! Ready to make some?

I’m making them this weekend to put en masse on a metal tray in the kitchen.
I have used these pumpkins as place cards for dinner parties. Just add a strip of paper with the name of your guest on them and then let them take the pumpkin home!
And how about surprising some friends with a pumpkin just to say “happy fall”!
Ready to make our these cute pumpkins?
MATERIALS TO MAKE SUCCULENT TOPPED PUMPKINS
I’ve made these pumpkins using clippings from the succulents around my home! So easy!
Here’s the material you will need:
- mini baby boo pumpkins real or faux
- tiny succulents
- crinkled paper or Spanish moss
- hot glue
Pop the stem off of the pumpkins. Keep the pumpkin stems to glue onto faux pumpkins. Just let the stems dry out and keep them in a paper bag until you need to use them.
Hot glue a small amount of crinkled paper to the indent at the top of the pumpkin.
Clip sections of succulent from the plant.
Hot glue succulent clippings into place on the crinkled paper.
Aren’t these succulent topped pumpkins beautiful?
The succulents will last a month or even more without watering.
After the fall season, you can cut the bottom of the succulents off a little and replant them in soil or cacti medium and they should grow.
How cute are these?
I think easy home decor diy’s like these make our homes so personal and unique!
Those little pumpkins are adorable. Before the little succulent drys up completely could you set it in some soil to root? That way they’d always have a sweet reminder of who gave them the plant.
Oh yes! Marisa at the end of the post I have some tips for doing that!
Oh I really love the little darlings .But I think I would have to use faux everything. Tried real succulents. No luck with them. How do you think faux would look.Have a great day.?
I think faux succulents are a wonderful idea! So smart!
You can also glue moss on top of the pumpkin and it holds the succulent cuttings well. I think the moss also holds more moisture when you spritz them succulents and helps them last a bit longer. Don’t cut into the top of the pumpkin or it will rot.
Love love love the mini pumpkins with succulents! I had seen these on another site but did not read if they were real! Thank you for sharing and what a fun project! Jean

I was just thinking to myself, “they look so real” and then I realised that’s because they are! Fabulous idea!
