I think mini baby boo pumpkins and tiny succulents were made for each other. They are both very trendy right now and the succulents add such a nice topper to these little white pumpkins! I’ll be using them this year on my Thanksgiving table at each place setting. And my guests can take them home with them as a little gift. Let’s make some darling succulent topped pumpkins!
Today on Decorating Tips And Tricks we are talking about RUGS! Yes, there is a whole lot to say…

Today is HOME STYLE SATURDAY. My blogging buddies and I are dusting off our best posts from the past to share with you again or and for the first time for many.
Ready to make our succulent topped pumpkins?
Here’s the material you will need:
- mini baby boo pumpkins real or faux
- tiny succulents
- crinkled paper or Spanish moss
- hot glue
- scissors
Pop the stem off of the pumpkins. Hot glue a small amount of crinkled paper to the indent at the top of the pumpkin.
Clip sections of succulent from the plant.
Hot glue succulent clippings into place on the crinkled paper.
That’s it! Aren’t these succulent topped pumpkins beautiful?
The succulents will last a month or even more without watering.
How cute are these?

Hi Yvonne!
You are right…cute! And…you only need 5 items to make it happen! Such a fun idea and one I will definitely “borrow” if it’s ok!!? It’s white pumpkins all the way this year so these will be little treasures of joy to add to my decor!
Many thank yous!! Lucy
How clever!! These little darlings have so many uses and I can’t wait to try them. Fall dinner party is a good time to use them as place cards; they would really make everyone feel special and can be used as favors. Thank you Yvonne for sharing your wonderful ideas!!
Love these. And love your blog. It was 102° at my house yesterday and it will be in the 90’s and humid until the last of October or the first of November so this gives me HOPE. (Where I live {South Texas}, no air conditioning is grounds for divorce!) I always look forward to your daily posts. Just wonderful.
I have several bundles of raffia (instead of crinkle paper) – Thoughts?
Yes, give it a try!
Oh soo very cute! I just love the little Boo’s and the succulents together. Thanks for the inspiration Yvonne and have a great weekend.
OOOOOOOOO love the baby boooooooos. Definitely going to make these for my fall tablescape. Thanks for sharing.

I always thought these were planted! I have several succulents that could use a trim so maybe I’ll use a few cuttings to make some of these! What a fun idea. I’m glad you shared.
Still getting spam the first time I open your link from Facebook…. anyone else?!
Opens correctly on second try.

Love the different ways you have created your succulent pumpkins Thank you
These are so cute! I need to try this. Thank you for all your creative idea..
So cute! I think this is something even I could do 🙂
Succulent topped mini pumpkins are so clever and so cute. Perfect take-away gift for any fall gathering. Curious as to how plants continue to live after being glued but certainly worth a try.
Since you clip pieces of the succulents and adhere them with glue, do they still live?
Yes, they live for quite awhile. I have a succulent topped pumpkin that has lived for almost 2 months.
These are adorable, Yvonne!! I picked up some faux succulents at Dollar Tree recently – and now I have a great idea of how to use them! Thank you for sharing…..
WOW!!! I have got to take a trip to my local Dollar Tree! Thanks for the tip Lanita!
Love the boo pumpkins! I’ve always wanted to try to do succulents on a pumpkin and I love these for place settings! Love it! Thank you!
I love succulents & have many varieties of succulents that I love to display them in different pots & objects throughout my garden.
Great idea! They are both cute and pretty! 🙂 I didn’t know real succulents would last that long without water. Good tip!
Also… just my 2 cents… but I miss seeing dates on your posts and comments. I like to see what your ‘history’ is, and how far you have come! 😉
