MERRY CHRISTMAS FRIENDS!

Before I take a little break today, I wanted to make sure I wished you a very Merry Christmas! I’ve been struck by the words in the Christmas song O Holy Night, “the weary world rejoices”. I think it perfectly describes how many of us feel as we celebrate Christmas!

I am not a pessimist or a realist. I would call myself a hopeful realist. And I like to see things as they are and hope for the best.

So I see how weary the world is today and I can hope for a better tomorrow.

Yes, we live in a very weary world right now!

But Christmas is the time to see the TRUE HOPE for our world. And that is great cause to rejoice!

This HOPE came to earth wrapped in human form as a baby.

This HOPE lived among us and died on a cross so we can have a hope for our futures that nothing, absolutely nothing can harm!

This is why we rejoice. We have good reason to be filled with joy!

Our hope is the reason we celebrate with great joy today!

“And behold, the star that they had seen when it rose went before them until it came to rest over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy.” Matt 2:9-10

Merry Christmas dear friends! I will be thinking of you and praying for you today!

  13. Thank you Yvonne! Yes, because of Jesus we always have hope! Hope is the cornerstone of my counseling ministry. God also gave us voices, and if ever there was a time in our nation for them to be heard, it is now.
    Please know that you also are being prayed for, blessed and appreciated. ?

  22. Merry Christmas! I served some of your recipes last night and oh my they were a hit! The holiday Brisket, holiday Salad and green beans with bacon were delicious. I was a little nervous since I hadn’t tried them out first before using them for a holiday dinner but I heard repeatedly how wonderful the food was all night. Thank you for your wonderful recipes and ideas. I always look forward to reading your blog.
