Today I’m making a Forsythia embellished spring nest. Forsythia are early bloomers around here and so bright and brambly! Faux
- little nests
- faux flowers and greens
- faux eggs

HOW TO EMBELLISH A NEST
Start with a store-bought nest. One that is the size just a little bigger than your cupped hand works best. This nest came with a little moss and a few leaves on it. But totally plain works just as well.
I added a few thin twigs from our yard to the next to give it a little more “presence”. I stuck the thin and pliable twigs into the nest and wound them around the outside. Don’t worry if the nest does not look perfect.
We are going for a brambly look.
I added a few small sprigs of forsythia. By sticking the ends into the nest to secure them.
I worked my way around the nest. And I used restraint. Just a few little faux blooms, a couple of pussy willow twigs and a trio of little faux eggs
I added a soft bed of dried moss…
And a trio of faux eggs makes this next ready for spring!
