I’ve so enjoyed giving my dining room a little French accent this Christmas! Or at least my interpretation of French styling! Since my last post, BON NOEL~ HOW TO FAKE FRENCH CHRISTMAS DECOR I’ve added a couple more French inspired decorations! It’s quite a departure from the rest of my home which has a traditional/farmhouse feel and is filled with lots of black and white plaid. How fun to put some OOOH LAA LAA into my Holiday this year!So here is StoneGable, The French Edition…
My reindeer sleigh came from Luckett’s, one of my favorite shops in Leesburg, Va. Isn’t he magnificent! He is a roughly painted metal. Really much lightter than he looks.
I filled the sleigh with greens and a few sparkly stars!
He’s sitting on a gorgeous, perfectly chipped shutter! I have a very formal mahogany table that I am not about to replace (at least, not now)… so adding a chippy shutter give the whole table a little texture and French/farmhouse feel. I found it on a recent antiquing trip with Shirley at HOUSEPITALITY DESIGNS and Mary Alice from CHAUEAU CHIC. These girls are the most wonderful people! I adore them and the time I spend with them! BTW… I paid $13.50 for the shutter. Another great buy!
My buffet is a nod to French decor with boxwood wreaths, white dishes and a French grain sack banner!
More shutters… with small boxwood wreaths.
Even my little built-in has touches of French Christmas!
My French Christmas ends at the dining room… and I’ll show you more next week!
