Giveaway is at the bottom of this post!

I love to be outside during the fall… even more than summer! Fall weather here is usually stunning. Crisp and no humidity and there are days that are so perfect you have to pinch yourself to make sure they are real! The scenery begins to change and become saturated with the most gorgeous autumnal colors! Now is the time to get outside. So I’m heading to the little table on the porch and setting it for an easy, intimate dinner for two full of early fall charm!

I’m thrilled to be a part of…

Maples are the first trees to “turn” and if you look very, very carefully at our red maples you can see a couple of leaves already turning a beautiful autumn color. The tops of our trees have many more colorful leaves!

These willow placemats are new to StoneGable this fall. I love their twiggy texture! Simple white handled forks and knives work well with today’s lunch!

The centerpiece is a vintage chamber pot I got on a recent shopping trip.  I know what they were used for, but I just love their shape!

Planted in the pot are 2 small mums and a tiny flowering cabbage! I added a white pumpkin, some pinecones, a seed pod and a few sprigs of fall leaves.

The pumpkin is faux. It was once orange and I painted it white and added a real stem. To see how easy it is to upcycle your orange pumpkins click HERE.

  1. Hi Yvonne, I love today’s post and I don’t know if it’s been said before but thank you for making it so easy to pin. On some other websites you have to search up and down the page and still don’t have any joy.

  2. I just recently found you and really love your posts. My tastes run similar to yours and oh how pretty is your luncheon table. We have eaten outside on our back porch all summer! Forgotten what it’s like to eat inside lo! I don’t want the warm weather to end but look forward to a fabulous fall. Cheers!

      1. Love!! Where did you find those black and white checkered napkins? I love them!

I’m on it! Thank you! I’m new here! I love your style!

  3. Love your tablescapes. Unfortunately, I don’t have a smart phone and your app doesn’t appear to be available for iPads.

  4. Beautiful! I love the willow placemats…can you tell me where you got them? I can’t believe fall is starting, I’m not ready yet!

    1. Hi Amy, I hope you don’t mind my answering you. I purchased mine years ago from Williams Sonoma; it’s a best seller so they might still have them. I also have seen them at World Market. I’ve used these for so many occasions, that they’re one of my favorite go to placemats; their size is great for 12″ buffet plates! I hope you can find them.

  5. Yvonne,

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! Woke today to temps in the upper 40’s here in Minnesota – looks like the crisp air is here to tease us. I cannot wait for all the fall colors to pop.

When is your book due out?

  6. Love your table, what a view. Eating outside on the porch is the best. I really like your white plates.
    Have a great day.

  12. What a gorgeous setting…this has inspired me to try a small table on our deck. Table for 2 would be so romantic. Will have to wait for next year though…it’s 56 degrees already!! You rock, Yvonne! XO

  13. Gorgeous view and tablescape. The placemats look so versatile and I am in love with those leaf bowls….would you mind sharing where you got those? They are such a nice way to add a fall look to a place setting without a complete set of autumnal patterned dishes. I think my family will enjoy the soup recipe as well. Hope your evening meal on the porch was filled with memorable moments.

  14. Gorgeous table setting, Yvonne! Because we live not far from you it’s easy to envision the beautiful farmland autumnal views we are so very fortunate to have the honor of enjoying year after year here in PA. I feel so blessed and know you do too.

  15. We certainly are two of a kind with our love for black and white aren’t we Yvonne!! Your tablescape is stunning!! Soooooooo wish I could come over for a visit and a long chat!! Sensational decorating as always, it all takes my breath away! Pinned 🙂

  18. What a beautiful setting for a fall meal. I love your porch rug and the leaf bowls. I had to laugh a little at your use of the chamber pot for a planter. Great idea! Thank you for sharing.

  19. Inspiring as always! I just went out to my garage and retrieved a white soup tureen I had put on the garage sale pile. What was I thinking ? It’s not a chamber pot, but it will do.:-) Thanks for the recipes too. I LOVE your recipes !

  20. Dear Yvonne, The tablescape is lovely. The black napkin pairing is striking with the white and autumn colors. All that said, I love that you love Bobbie and that you are intentional about your relationship. I think you are a Proverbs 31 woman.

  21. Enjoy your meal with such a pretty place setting and Fall colors. Hope it’s not as hot there as it is here !

  22. Your round placemats placed up against a wall on a mantel or other display shelf would add interesting texture and shape for a fall vignette.

  23. Yvonne, as always, your table setting is lovely, and the menu sounds so delicious! I can’t wait for it to cool down a little more so we can have this meal on our back porch!

  24. I am a new follower of Stone Gable, and every day I look forward to seeing what is new. I especially like the black and white in the Fall table arrangement. Like another commenter, I too have a white soup tureen that will be coming out of storage to be added to my Fall table. Thank you for the great ideas!

  25. Spectacular! I have never seen a porch, tablescape, or door that you “dressed” that was not sheer bliss. And here is another one that just embodies the tone and feeling of, StoneGable, “Take me away!” Thank you. So award worthy!!

  26. What a wonderful fall table setting. So many sweet suggestions to invite a friend for a Fall brunch on the porch.I especially like that food suggestions are included.

  27. Really like the fall you do a great job using what God has created to decorate with and what can be purchased to warm our homes and hearts.
