Beautiful coffee station/vignette! Margo’s pumpkin bread recipe sounds yummy. I will probably use an organic box mix and feel even better about “cheating!” 😉
Love your coffee bar ideas. I’ve been wondering if you did an herb garden this year, and if so would you share? I recall viewing a photo of yours several years ago and loved it. I used it as my inspiration.
This year I used several pretty blue glazed pots to hold my herbs on my patio. I also planted them in my raised bed gardens.
I did not share my herbs this year! Next year!
So Pretty!!
I grew up with my mom using only paper napkins. She kept a few cloth napkins buried in her stash of things in the bottom drawer of her dresser. I always nosed around when she would open this treasure trove to see what I could see. After I was married she gave the napkins to me. I used them in a million ways, in baskets, on trays and even made a set of chair cushions from some oversized damask ones. I became a hoarder, collecting all sorts of them, even single ones found on sale on the clearance tables. Such fun!
I would also like to share my”recipe “ for pumpkin bread. I use a regular pillsbury box mix according to directions in a loaf pan. Then I add an apple, peeled and cut into chunks spread on top of the mix once it’s in the pan. I push down gently so as to not completely submerge the apples. Then I add a crumb topping which I make using a stick of butter and a cup each of flour and sugar. I mix this using a pastry blender and store it in a Tupperware container in the fridge so I always have some on hand. I sprinkle a couple of handfuls on top and then bake as directed. I know some people do not like using mixes but this comes out really well. I’m always asked for my recipe but I only share my secret with my close friends! This too, has a way of “disappearing “ from the kitchen!
Sounds delicious, Margo. I love apples in a recipe. Is the sugar for the topping white granulated or brown?
Margo, thanks so much for the recipe! I’ll give it a try
Thank you! I LOVE FALL! Inspiration!
