Remeber when we made “mood” boards using a large piece of paper or cardboard and pictures ripped out of magazines? I do! Yes, I can remember that far back! Oh, how it inspired me!!!

Now we can do the same but digitally! I make my inspiration boards on PicMonkey a free digital photo editor with the capability to create gorgeous boards filled with inspiration!

I still use Pinterest but I like to create a board from all the beautiful things I have pinned. I like to see my ideas altogether!

I have inspiration boards for lots of different ideas.

This inspiration board celebrates the beauty of blue and white in the fall.

Isn’t it inspiring when all these gorgeous images are put in proximity of one another? Can you see the hues of blue and the other subtle colors that play so well with it? Wouldn’t you like to make a fall board using your favorite color?

And I lovee little bit of orange with my white in the fall…

Orange looks stunning when it’s drenched with white. It takes on a crisp look! “And if bright orange is a bit, well… too much for your tone it down with a deeper or burnt orange!

One of the very first things I decorate for each new season is my porch and front door. I am already putting together all the elements I’ll need to make this year’s outdoor areas extra special!

And of course, who can resist fall wreaths?

Just looking at the pictures gets me SO excited for my favorite time of the year!!!

  2. Yvonne, Knew we were kindred souls and your fall idea boards just prove it. I have pinned so many of the same pictures and have so many great plans for autumn decor this year. Have bought some new copper planters for outside and will fill with seasonal plants and use real gourds and pumpkins outside and inside use more white and neutral colors with one color accent to kick it up a bit.Really starting to yearn for some cooler temperatures but today will be near 90 so for now will just dream of fall.

  3. I followed your link to picmonkey. It is not free. Is there another link to a free version?

  4. Everything fall looks so beautiful, it’s my favorite season.

I’m SO wanting to make some velvet pumpkins in aquas/teals/grays… but that orange is calling my name, too! 😉 Definitely getting mums for my wee patio again this year! So affordable and so gorgeous!

Yvonne, I love your boards! Of course, the blue and white is my fave! Just last night, I told my husband that we need to get the Fall Decor bins down from the attic this weekend. He thought I had lost my mind. LOL. I’m itching to decorate for Fall…I might just have to run to Hobby Lobby and get the makings for a wreath. Thank you for sharing. Have a great rest of the weekend. PLEASE! Don’t let it be fall so early . It is high Summer here in Germany. When the fall comes , I’m allways sad….

    1. Hi Judith, I really don’t have any control over the weather, LOL! So enjoy summer but think about fall decorating!

Because of fall , I have allways to remember this: Fall isn’t only a season, it is the spring of the winter 😉

  9. I’m so excited for fall!

  10. I like seeing orange for the seasonal Fall styling options, after all it is the color of the season. Love the ideas of using an inspiration board and thanks for posting the ‘where to create’ an image board.

  11. Hi Yvonne.

Thanks so much for including my gold magnolia wreath in this beautiful grouping of image boards!

    Ciao! xoxo

Your mood boards are lovely. FYI, I used PicMonkey for a mood board and it worked well. It may have been free in the past, but that is no longer the case. I signed up for a free week, but after that, I would have been billed for a year’s worth. Not expensive, but since I would not be using it often, also not worth the price.

I love the blue and white because I have many plates from Japan.

I don’t have much kitchen counter(galley style), but I want to put together a small tray of fall items for it.

I don’t have much kitchen counter(galley style), but I want to put together a small tray of fall items for it. I’m thinking bittersweet vine, a couple of pine cones, and maybe a vase of leaves.
