WHAT IS A “SUMMER PILLOW”
Here’s the good news, a summer pillow is any pillow you use to lighten up your existing decor. It usually works with the other pillows you have to give a nod to the summer season!
The are an important part of your summer decor!
Lots of us love a pillow with a distinctive summer motif. I do too! They are so pretty with our decor! But here’s a little word to the wise…

I love to see what’s white hot for each year or season. And when it comes to pillows this summer they are gorgeous!
Almost every summer navy blue shows up in all it’s glory!!! Navy and white is iconically summer and feels like the beach!
But you don’t have to want a beachy look in your home to use navy. It can look very sophisticated or casual, just so perfect for summer!
You can think of navy as somewhat of a neutral. Almost any color looks beautiful with navy!

Navy is the quintessential decorating color of summer! Use white with navy for a crisp, clean look. Adding camel and tans to navy and white make for a cozier look!
This year burnt and saturated yellows leaning towards gold are big again! I love this warm golden color in my decor! And I have a few pillows with that deep burnt yellow to use in my home during the summer season!
This pretty sunburnt color works well with almost any neutral and will look so happy with white!
Other popular colors this summer are citron to olive green and burnt orange to coral.

So I have been a pillow freak forever! My husband thinks I am crazy. I have already filled an upstairs closet with ones that I switch out seasonally. So where do you and how do you store your pillows? Do you get rid of ones that are more than a few years old?
My family usually comes and “borrows” them. I do have a basement with shelves and the pillows are neatly lined up there. Hope this helps.
