Here’s the bad news about bittersweet…
It grows wild around here but it is being irradicated because it is such an invasive plant. Most states feel the same so you won’t find cultivated bittersweet!
Now here’s the good news…
There is an abundance of faux bittersweet you can pick up! Many of your local craft stores or online haunts have amazing faux bittersweet!
So, all in all not so bad after all. Real bittersweet although so pretty is messy and it drops its berries!

This year we have a field of corn as our next door neighbor! It is the most wonderful sight in the fall. The corn dries and the ears of cow corn hang on each stalk!
And as the wind blows through the cornfield the sound is amazing! It sounds like the rustling of taffeta ball gowns. And I can imagine the corn dancing to unheard classical music swishing their beautiful autumnal gowns as they dance!
