  1. Hi Yvonne,
Crossholidation. Love it! Just thinking about makes me realize that: ot the practical aspects of having Christmas lights on the porch for Halloween and Thanksgiving – particularly in the cold, dark northern parts. It makes it easier to find ones keys…. Put up some garlands of lights which are not too Christmas-sy now and its job done till New Years. ( just remember to remove the pumpkins and add appropriate decor for subsequent holidays. …. and take the lights down before Easter at the latest) I wish that someone had thought about this concept years ago when my Dad fell off a ladder because the Christmas lights just could not be up before a certain date, but that’s another story

  2. I must tell you Yvonnne that I am almost done reading the book The Dutch House. I took your recommendation to read it and am so glad I did! I would recommend it to everyone!
