The weather here at StoneGable is frigid!!! We, along with most of the United States, are in a deep freeze! BRRRRRRR! I am a huge fan of cold weather and snow but when the temperature dips into the single digits… not so much! On blustery winter days I want to cook! Nothing is better than hot stews, soups and tasty dishes that stick-to-my ribs! I’ve compiled 10 of my favorite and best recipes for the cold days ahead! Hope you make them for you and your family this winter!
This is my #1 go-to thing to cook when the weather is cold and snowy! It’s the best Chicken Noodle Soup you will ever make! Not bragging… just truth!
Cheater’s Chicken Pot Pie looks and tastes like you’ve been cooking all day… but you won’t. This is so easy-peasy, filling and oh, so good… and company worthy!
When I ask my kids what they want for dinner it’s ALWAYS Aunt Sue’s Mac and Cheese. The perfect comfort food for cold winter evenings!
Braised Short Ribs are amazing. Make them in the slow cooker and serve them over mashed potatoes or cheesy polenta. I had these for Christmas dinner a couple of years ago!
I love love love Mexican food any time of year. There is a reason these are called “Killer” Fajitas!
Thick and creamy and filled with cheese and bacon!
What a great, warm meal for kids of all ages!
GNOCCHI WITH VENISON (OR CHUCK ROAST) STEW
Another great slow cooker meal. If you have a hunter in your family, use venison… it is insanely good. If not, use my favorite beef for slow cookers… chuck roast. We had this meal for Christmas too!
What smells better than a delicious chicken roasting in your oven! It’s soooo much better than store bought!
Now, let’s do something sweet! Coffee cake is my favorite!
Only the very best recipes for YOU!!! I hope you will try these yummy dishes this winter… and stay warm!!!
