YES, YOU ARE… SO CLOSE TO AMAZING!

Yes, you are... SO CLOSE TO AMAZING!

Today is one of those rare days the stars align, the birds sing in harmony and you know that you are going to be amazing! You get up chipper and do not need to push the snooze button. And you, my friend, are having a fabulous hair day! Add to all that your husband makes you coffee and your children rise up and call you blessed! You walk out of the door feeling alive and beautiful and confident and ready to take on the world…with your dress tucked into the back of your underpants! Yes, you are so close to amazing!

My dear, dear friend KariAnne from Thistlewood Farms just wrote the most beautiful, hysterical, page turning book about her sometimes amazing but mostly so close to amazing life. And TODAY is the release date! Today you can actually buy her must read book!

I’ve known KariAnne for several years now. And to know KariAnne is to love her! She is a ball of electrifying energy with sparkly eyes and dangly earrings to match. She has a distinctive southern accent that will make you want to say things like “bless her lil’ heart” and drink gallons of sweet tea! She talks as fast as she thinks and I am always left trying to catch my breath just listening to her!

KariAnne is so positive it is infectious. And if you are around her for long enough you will think you are a rock star!

She can spin a story like no other and make you wish you could wear Lee’s Press On Nails and live in a farmhouse in Kentucky too!

She is sweet and oh, so sassy and just about the funniest person I know!

KariAnne loves God and it shows!

In her first book SO CLOSE TO AMAZING KariAnne share her stories of moving her family to the countryside of Kentucky and life’s joys, fears, foibles and moments that are so close to amazing! In each story, run threads of laughter and God’s influence on her life.

Her tales are so relatable… red lipstick, pot roasts at garden club meetings, a three-county cry, the never ending search for the perfect outfit and being a daughter of the KING! Stories that will tug at your heart and tickle your funny bone!

At the end of some of the stories are wonderful DIY projects to create for your home! And they will remind you of how God works in not only KariAnne’s life but your too!

In totally KariAnne fashion she peppers her book with some flight-of-though, words of her homespun wisdom called TOTAL ASIDE! Because I am also a red lipstick wearer I love this little gem…

“It’s a proven fact that red lipstick can provide confidence in difficult situations like a gathering in a new town or meeting your in-laws for the first time or even your first Pampered Chef party. When applying, just make sure you avoid your teeth!”

It’s a book of loving the magnificent creation God has intended you to be! A book of growing and knowing God through life’s circumstances!

I’ve had many an almost amazing moment myself.

Like the time I met a friend for breakfast at a local restaurant thinking I was looking particularly good that morning. The patrons in the restaurant apparently agreed too because they all seemed to be looking at me and smiling. I sauntered across the restaurant and gracefully slid into my seat with a “yes you know I look good” air. It was not until I was comfortably seated feeling very pleased with myself I realized that a pair of my favorite old granny panties had traveled down the pant leg of my skinny jeans, caught on the buckle of my fashionable boots and had been trailing behind me across the restaurant.  UGH…I was so close to amazing! And yes, God does humble the proud!

This might be too many mentions of “panties” for one post! YIKES!

Kidding aside, do yourself and your heart and your soul a big favor and get this AMAZING book! It would make a perfect hostess gift or Christmas gift too!

You can get SO CLOSE TO AMAZING here and here.

Thanks, KariAnne for your outstanding book! YOU ARE SO CLOSE TO AMAZING… AND MORE!

You made me smile. So funny and I needed that. I am in deep South Texas. We’ve had no electricity for 10 days now thanks to Harvey. BUT, before that my husband got out our generator and 2 old, small window air conditioners from our son’s college days, and lots of big, orange extension cords. Our water was off only 2 days so that was good although we have to boil it now. But we’re good. A/C does save marriages down here. Thank you, again, for the bright spot in my day.

    1. Bless your heart, SERIOUSLY! I am praying for you! LOVE to all my southern friends recovering from the flood!

    2. Hi Sue: I try to read all of Stone Gable’s posts and spotted your Comment. I thank Yvonne for allowing me to “use” her blog, at this time … this is the only way I know to convey just how much us Canadians TRULY care about you all down there!! We are all shocked at the devastation and the photo that showed that highway (forgot the name) covered by SO much water, that there were actual “rolling waves”, left me speechless!! My husband was sent to Houston, Texas for a month and I followed three weeks later and we both fell in love with the city and its people. Toronto newspapers have reported many Ontario (Canada) people have gone down to help in whatever way they can. Our prayers are with you! (Thanks again, Yvonne for letting me type this!) ????

    3. Se and Elaine… first Sue, you are in my constant prayers. My heart is aching for all of you! And Elaine, no wonder I love my Canadian friends so much! God bless you too for your concern!

      1. Thanks again, Yvonne, for posting my Comment to Sue and all the thousands of people in dire need of help!

  17. Sounds wonderful. We certainly need to laugh at ourselves, sometimes. Humor has often spared some pain in our home.

Thanks to all of you for your prayers and thoughts. Day 11 with no power…except our wonderful generator (which is powering my computer). This blogs makes me smile everyday.

  25. This looks like a wonderful book to have and I’m looking forward to reading it. I happened to see Elaine’s comments and how thoughtful and kind of her. We have a long road here but us Texans are tough and resilient. Let’s pray for those impacted or will soon be impacted by Irma.
