WAITING FOR A SCOTT 1000 TOILET PAPER ROLL AND A $100.00 GIVEAWAY
There are many thing that we run out of here at StoneGable! Milk, dog and cat food, toothpaste, coffee, toilet tissue (oh, that’s bad)! We have even run out of hot water! So I try to stock up on those basic things we need. Sometimes I wish a product would just give me a little extra to get though until I can make a trip to the store. You know what they say, “be careful for what you wish for”. I’ve been waiting for toilet paper rolls in my house to run out for 2 weeks now. I’m collecting the empty rolls to make organic napkin rings for my Thanksgiving table, like the one above!
A big thank you to Scott® Tissue for sponsoring this post and giving me lots of fabulous Scott® 1000 Bath Tissue and toilet paper rolls!
But there’s a problem! Well, it’s more like good news/bad news! We stocked up on bath tissue when we bought a Scott ®1000 Bonus Pack. It gives us 100 extra sheets in every roll! And that’s a wonderful, very good thing! 3 extra rolls wonderful!
But it also means waiting longer for each roll to run out because each roll gives us the little extra we often need! And that also means waiting longer for those empty toilet paper rolls!!!
I got this big 36 roll pack of Scott® 1000, or should I say 1100, at Sam’s Club! Pretty great! I love saving money! I’m keeping some toilet tissue in the drawer of my my powder room sink.
Oh, my goodness what an experience at Sam’s Club! It has isles and isles and stacks and racks of all things for home and family! I spent a couple hours just looking around. You need baby wipes… check! How about crab legs… check! Halloween candy… check, pj’s… check, fresh veggies and fruit… check, check! And don’t forget tires… oh my yes, check! Amazing shopping opportunities abound!
I found Scott®1000 in the paper product isle! Wow! This was my first visit to a Sam’s Club and it was F-U-N!!!! Sam’s Clubs are huge!!! Like a half a football field huge! Lots and lots of great products, all at great prices! And the Sam’s Club people were so so friendly and helpful. I even stopped for a little lunch! They had a very nice cafe and a yummy menu. I love the idea of stocking up and Sam’s Club is a perfect place to do it!
I have four of the six toilet paper rolls I need to make the napkin rings and am waiting for two more! Lots of waiting!
I’m cutting the empty rolls in half and using them to making 12 gorgeous napkin rings that cost me nothing but my time!
Look for a diy to make these easy peasy napkin rings using Scott® 1000 empty toilet paper rolls on Friday!
Here’s one (finally) I cut in half for my napkin rings.
Scott® 1000 is soft, long lasting and septic safe (which is important to us).

I am blessed to have a Sam’s Club just five minutes from my house, so I shop there all the time for everything from fresh produce to mattresses! I’ve never bought anything online, though, so I checked that out and was delighted to see that they have so much to offer with the convenience of a mouse-click.
I would definitely buy the Scott’s tissue. I love Scott’s tissue–it’s by far the best value I’ve found. It also has the great advantage of being single-ply, which means that it’s not nearly so likely to stop up a toilet as the thick double-ply tissues are.
And I found a brand-new product–Campbell’s soup in a Kcup! Now that’s innovative!
I like their roasted chickens. The are tender and juicy and they are bigger than the ones at Walmart and cost $1 less.

Your napkin rings are adorable and would be fun to make. However, our Labrador monitors the to TP usage by listening to the sound it makes as you use it. If it rattles a lot she knows its almost empty and will be waiting to collect the empty roll as a toy to play with. Therefore I’m not sure I’ll be able to gather any to try this project. 🙂
