The wall clocks in my home are quite a decor statement. I love them for the big wow they create in each room they are in! Clocks… sorta Flava Flav style have been a hot trend over the last few years. They come in lots of different styles to go with practically everything else you put in a room. I’ve scoured the web for the best wall clock around! Let’s talk about using wall clocks in decor!

  4. We have a grandfather clock in our main room in our cabin. We have a open concept room with high ceilings. What do you think about putting a large clock in the same room but up higher on the open staircase on the second level?

    1. LOVE that idea! Just make sure it is far enough from the bedrooms not to wake you up if it chimes.

  8. Right now I don’t have any clocks up in my house but I’m going to change that! I have a really pretty washstand top on my wall with a chalkboard insert that I don’t write on anymore. Maybe layering a clock on top of that?

    For some reason, I can’t explain why,but I love of clocks and lamps. I have many of these in each room. A few birthdays ago one of my sons got me a beautiful vintage grandfather clock. Love,love,love em!!

  21. I have a “thing” about clocks. I have many throughout my house, big & small. There’s something about marking time. Hope all is well with you. It was a very cold morning in Oklahoma today but late afternoon quite warm and sunny. So ready for summer.

    My husband is a geographer, so the large clock I got for over our mantel has an antique world map across the face–and we love it. You show so many other fabulous ones that I wish I had more rooms and more walls!

  31. I love clocks. Especially love big clocks, but I really haven’t met an old one, or a decorative one, that I haven’t liked. I think the love of clocks started with the mantle clock my grandparents got the year they were married. I grew up watching my grandfather very carefully winding the clock with a key, once a week. He loved that clock and it was obvious to me, even as a child. My mother was going to get rid of it when my grandparents passed away, (it did not go with her decor), but I begged to be able to keep it in my room. I still have it, and I will make it fit where ever I might live.

    We have two larger wall clocks and now to decide how to decorate around them one is on a 12 ft ceiling study wall and the other on a side 10 ft ceiling kitchen area wall…..nothing with them yet.

  45. I also have clocks as decor in my house. I don’t have any of the oversized round ones at this time, but I have a schoolouse clockbin my living room and a Regulator clock in my foyer. I have had them for many years. I even have a small mantle clock in my dining room.

  50. Oven, iPad, phone.. all have clocks. To keep mood calm, I do not add clocks elsewhere in my home. A quirk of my personality shared by no one else

  52. I have a really large clock very similar to one that that you linked to and I love it. We really don’t use it for time; in fact the battery is dead in it more times than not but it makes great decor.

  58. In the fall posting, what kind of clock is a above the mantel? Its gorgeous and goes well with the fall decor. I would love to purchase one.

    1. Hi Tina, this was a clock I found on super sale. Its frame was brown so I painted it. Paint is like magic!
