THE SCOOP #187
HAPPY LABOR DAY FRIEND!!!
Hope your had a great weekend and spent some time doing what you love! We had a very relaxing weekend. We had dinner on the patio with family and friends on Saturday, worked in the garden, church on Sunday and enjoyed time with Bobby! Now, I’m digging in and spending time decorating my home for fall and two upcoming fall home tours! Oh, I love fall. Did you see my post SEPTEMBER IS A GREAT MONTH TO…? A kick start way to the fall season! This is my top 10 list for fall this year!
If you have not made a fall wreath for your front door yet, now is the time!!! You can make a very very easy WHITE PUMPKIN WREATH like the one featured in the title picture of this post. It is a big stunning wreath full that will give a happy fall welcome to family and friends!
Now, let’s hear from this week’s hostess!
Hi everyone and welcome to The Scoop! How was your Labor Day weekend? Ours was a very relaxing one spent at our beach condo. I took my camera with me, but I was totally lazy and didn’t snap one single picture.
Let’s go ahead and get the party started!
Welcome back to The Scoop!
Things are progressing along at our house. At the end of this month we will have been living here for a whole year. So hard to believe! From most of my recent posts, you might be able to tell that I’m focusing on completing our family room. In fact, I completed the makeover of our entertainment center last week. I changed out all of the accessories that I had thrown in there as I was unpacking from the move. But the biggest difference is that I replaced the glass doors with cage wire. That one change along with different accessories is so much more my style.
How I Gave My Entertainment Center A Makeover {Without Paint!}
Here are a few features from last week’s party.
Deb from Lake Girl Paints shared her adorable Rustic White Pumpkin Art. She shows how you can paint one for yourself.
Mei Ann from Pure Bliss shows us how to Save Herbs For Winter Months – Drying And Freezing. This will come in very handy now that we’re nearing the end of the outdoor growing season.
Wendi from H2O Bungalow shares her Faux Painted Cargo Furniture. You absolutely won’t believe what it started as.
Debbie from ReFresh ReStyle shares How To Build A Floating Shelf. Use her tutorial to build one for yourself – any size to fit anywhere that you need it.
Bev from Flamingo Toes shared how to make a Sweet Woodland Acorn Necklace. Oh how adorable!

Hi Yvonne – Thank you so much for hosting and I hope your week is as wonderful as you are! Hugs, Holly
I always love the Scoop and all of the neat projects and ideas! I’m starting my September list of things to do, and I actually spent the entire Labor Day weekend painting some things I had in my house for many years. I wanted to update them and make them look more “chippy”, two mirrors, a shelf, candlesticks, a tray, and a chalkboard. It felt great to get that accomplished! I also found on a Primitive Home Decor website some realistic looking bittersweet, so I ordered some! Yay, I was really looking for some for my home, which is starting to look more like Fall with a few touches I’m adding. I am always so inspired by Stonegable, and The Scoop! Thank you – have a wonderful week!
I’m a “day late”, but hopefully not “a dollar short”! Never at The Scoop!!! Thanks so much for hosting!!
Hope your holiday weekend was peaceful and relaxing, thanks for hosting!
