Aren’t these jute coasters adorable? And just so so perfect for summer. They are so so easy to make! They add lots of texture and a summer feel to any entertaining!

 

CHINA CUP BIRD FEEDER

These pretty bird feeders will look gorgeous among your flowers and veggies and in your pots this summer! With just a few things from your local hardware store and an old china cup and saucer you will have a lovely bird feeder! Feed the birds in style this year!

TEXTURED MOSS BALLS

Moss balls are expensive and one of those ideas that I said “I can do that” and I did! So easy and a fraction of the cost of specialty store moss balls.

Bring a little of the outdoors in with textured moss balls.

AGING AN URN WITH PAINT

This year why not take all your outdoor pots and containers and give them a little aged love! It’s so so easy to age or change the colors of an outdoor container to work with your outdoor decor and spaces!

TWIGGY GARDEN MARKERS

My herb garden never looked better with these natural twig garden markers. They are so fun to make! And their natural twiggy style works particularly well in the garden!

NO SEW BURLAP FLOWER PILLOW

I know you have probably seen this pillow before. It’s really one of my very favorites! What an easy pillow to make! I’m excited to make another with a different burlap patterned fabric!  If you can trace and cut a circle you can make this!

POTTERY BARN INSPIRED ROPE WRAPPED CANDLEHOLDER

I bought two candle cylinders at the dollar store and made these great looking candle holders at a fraction of the Pottery Barn price! I glued starfish to the front of them but the embellishing possibilities are endless! These would make an amazing gift!

Another WOW factor DIY. My patriotic pinwheels hung above my mantel all last summer. Everyone who came to visit loved them!

PAINT WASHING TERRACOTTA POTS

I think plants looks so much prettier in a natural terracotta pot that has been washed with paint. It gives the pots a time worn look! Sigh!

SUMMER INITIAL WREATH

Create a big summer welcome for your front door. This wreath is pretty and personalized and I’m sharing some designer tips that will make this wreath look especially amazing!

 

NO SEW RUNNER MADE FROM A TABLECLOTH

Do you throw out tablecloths that have been ruined by a stain? How about making a table runner from the part that is still good?

I made this table runner from a $5.00 tablecloth I found at our local HomeGoods. Brighten up your summer table with a pretty new runner!

Did you know that this pretty pillow was made from a vinyl tablecloth? I’ll be making lots of these stylish pillows to adorn my porch rockers and outdoor furniture this summer! I think this is my favorite summer diy project. Saving the best for last!

    Thank you for the ideas, a couple of them I already made them before but I always want to make the tea cup bird feeder. I remember see them in the back yard of some antiques/garden at the beach here in California.

I’ve previously pinned most of these ideas and made them like the moss balls, the rope wrapped candle holders, and the coasters; some I’ve pinned but haven’t made yet like the Mr. and Mrs. pillows and I’ll be making a set of those that say Rest and Well once we have a guest bedroom (when our son gets his own place). I did see a few projects here that I haven’t seen before like the teacup bird feeder so I’ve pinned that project and will be making that for my mom for Mother’s Day and giving it to her along with a big bag of seed and a nice card. All of these are great projects though and you can’t go wrong making any of them.
