SUNDAY
Sunday’s are such family days around StoneGable. And making dinner for whoever shows up is here is a must. I don’t like to fuss every Sunday (well, most Sunday’s) and salmon is an easy dish that everyone loves! Look at these great potatoes from Eatwell 101! A must read! You will get lost in all it’s heavenly recipes for sure!
- ROASTED SALMON WITH DILL SAUCE

- FIXINGS
TUESDAY
We love pasta in this house!!! And today’s recipe from Tastes Better From Scratch looks and sounds delicious! I’ll probably divide this recipe in two after I cook it. We will eat half and I’ll freeze half for a quick meal!
I’m always thinking ahead so I have great, easy meals in my freezer for lunches and dinners.
- CHICKEN AND BROCCOLI ALFREDO STUFFED SHELLS
- GREEK SALAD
WEDNESDAY
My Daddy was a southern boy so pork chops and white gravy was a must in my home growing up. I just love it. But I don’t smother everything in gravy now, just a little for that comforting taste. Oh, YUM!!!
- CRISPY BAKED BREADED PORK CHOPS
- WHITE GRAVY
- MASHED POTATOES
- GREEN BEANS
THURSDAY
When you have an afternoon at home it’s so easy to make a roast chicken for dinner. So, so much better than those horrid store bought ones! Make it yourself!!! And save the bones to make your own Chicken broth for soup. Your home will smell absolutely amazing!!! Easy peasy meal!
- PERFECT ROAST CHICKEN
- NANI’ SAUTEED RICE
- ROASTED CARROTS, CELERY ROOT, AND PARSNIPS
FRIDAY
I’ve made this cod dish several times and I love it! It’s so easy and buttery and has a mild fish taste. Great for those in your family that might be “on the fence” when it comes to dinner from the sea. You can find this scrumptious recipe at Valentina’s Corner!
- BUTTERED COD IN SKILLET
- ISRAELI COUSCOUS WITH SPINACH AND MUSHROOMS
- ROASTED ASPARAGUS
SATURDAY
This is hand’s down the best chicken noodle soup you will ever, ever make. No kidding and no bragging… just fact!!! Give it a try and you will make it again and again!!! Making this brings back such wonderful memories of my grandmother, Helen Pinter Jackwood who taught me to make this made-with-love soup!
- NANI’S CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP
- CRUSTY BREAD AND CHEESE
SWEET TREAT OF THE WEEK
I’ve heard of Christmas Crack for years but have never made it. So I turned to one of my go-to foodie blogs Cafe Delites for this sweet treat recipe!

I have never taken the time to make hasselback potatoes, but seeing your picture, and the simple recipe, I’m going to give them a try next Sunday. Always enjoy seeing your menus, and love the quality of your photos as well. 🙂
I was wondering if you might be able to fix the link for the recipe to the Roasted Chicken that you rave about. When I hit the link it takes me to the crispy fried pork chop recipe from Yummy. I buy the Sams club chickens all the time and would love to try your recipe to compare. Thanks.
THANKS for letting me know Nancy! Fixed!
Sam’s club and Costco have fabulous chickens. When I don’t make a chicken myself I buy one of those brands

I see from other comments that the roasted chicken link is fixed, but I’m still seeing just the name with no link at all. Please tell me where to find the recipe for that beautiful chicken! Thank you.
I LOVE your menu post! This week I’m thinking I’ll need to have some chicken soup around for me and to share. The potatoes might be a Christmas Day possibility , and who doesn’t need a little Christmas crack ? Thanks for this wonderful post.

The couscous caught my attention. Sometimes we drive a couple of hours to a special restaurant and it’s on their menu. I like the added mushrooms and spinach.
