Although our fresh asparagus is not coming up yet, there is delicious fresh asparagus at our local grocer’s.

Today’s recipe is a real savory spring treat! YUM! If you are not a frequent user of puff pastry you should be. It is so easy to use and makes food taste so much better! This is an oldie-but-goodie recipe. The recipe is great but the images are not so great.

I don’t see how you find the time to cook such elaborate dinners and produce such a wonderful blog with all the beautiful pictures, write ups and podcast. I wish you the best with surgery! So what time should we come over? It all looks so good! My grandson would say,” yummyful!

  21. Sweet Yvonne – I’m so sorry to hear of your ankle pin coming loose – you’ve had a rough time of it. I went through an ankle fracture myself with 7 clear breaks in all 3 bones that come together to form the ankle joint, and I know what it’s like. And I’m aware there are many feelings in that simple sentence “I have to go back into surgery…” that you’re not sharing here. Praying that your family is a sounding board for your disappointment and pain, but mostly … praying for the comfort of Christ and the knowledge of Ps 119:75. He is faithful !!!

  22. Donna Wessells says:

Where can I find the Baja fish taco recipe? It looks wonderful!

  28. So sorry about your ankle. We will have a post in a few days based on your six tips for a kitchen table vignette. Also, I have so enjoyed your podcasts.

  29. Awww man! Good luck with your surgery! I’m sorry to hear that you have to go through another one! It’s hard enough the first time! Your menus look fabulous and delicious! I’m loving the two pasta nights and I’m drooling over the meatballs! Thanks for all you do! And I hope you have a speedy recovery and can enjoy the shower!

  30. The asparagus puff pastry looks divine!
I will have to venture into the world of puff pastry.

  31. The colors in your taco are beautiful enough to frame. Looks so good.

  32. I love the idea of menu planning, especially when you do it for us.

  33. When trying a new recipe — a picture is worth a thousand words! Your menus are blessed with good photos. 🙂
There are so man recipes I’ve torn out, written down from Southern Living, Midwest Living — and 90% of the time, it’s because of the picture that is shown with the recipe. They usually turn out to be a hit, too.

I love to peruse your weekly menus–they give me ideas. I recently served your wedge salad with the blue cheese dressing & walnuts. Yum! Funny, how simple it stir up a small batch (a half cup or so,) of dressing for salad like that–

  34. Oh Yvonne, I’m so sorry about your ankle. I’m obviously a little late to the news so you have obviously had your surgery. I hope all went well and you’re on the mend.
