ON THE MENU #200

On the menu this week I have lots of scrumptious recipes from some very talented food bloggers! And I can’t wait to try their amazing creations! The pictures look so beautiful and enticing they make me confident that I will love making dinner this week! And because I’ve planned early I can also prep lots of these recipes ahead of time. For some reason starting dinner at 5:00 is not always easy.

So when I can cut the veggies or grate the cheese and get the mise in place ready ahead I’m a much more enthusiastic home cook! How about you? Does 5:00 roll around and you almost dread (even though many of us love to cook) dinner? Let’s be smart and get dinner started in the morning or the night before or when we have a few free minutes.

Before we dig into our meals, I want to remind you that we have a new episode of Decorating Tips And Tricks. You can listen to episode 244, NINE WAYS TO FRESHEN UP YOUR HOME below…

Here’s what’s on the menu this week…

MONDAY

We are such carnivores here at StoneGable that is not often we have a meatless meal, but these gorgeous twice baked potatoes from Baker By Nature will make a fabulous meal on their own! YUM!

TUESDAY

I love an easy and delicious recipe. And that is just what this stuffed chicken breast is from Moscato Mom!  Boneless skinless chicken, although quick and easy, sometimes lacks flavor and dries out easily. Wrapping it in bacon (and who does not love that flavor profile) will make it very juicy and flavorful!

WEDNESDAY

Today I’m featuring a new to me blog Diethood.  And what fabulous recipes Katerina whips up! Make sure you stop by and say “hi”!

THURSDAY

We try to get pork into our menus at least once every couple of weeks. These chops look delicious! Thanks, Healthy World Cuisine!

FRIDAY

Bobby loves Eggplant Parmesan. And I have an O-L-D recipe from the dinosaur days of blogging that has pretty bad pictures but the recipe is AMAZING! I roast the eggplant instead of breading it and frying it to make it a healthy version.

If you make one thing this week this should be it!

SATURDAY

As summer winds down here at StoneGable I’m paying homage to its remains! Instead of frying the cod I’ll be using my air fryer. I LOVE it!!!!!

SUNDAY

Sunday’s are family days. Bobby and I usually spend the whole day together.  And I love the old fashion notion of the SUNDAY MEAL. Even if it is just the two of us I love knowing that Sunday dinners are special! Great steak recipe from Savory Sweet Life.

TREAT OF THE WEEK…

Oh my goodness! I can’t wait to make this cake! We can still have local peaches around here so I’m so excited to put them into this beautiful cake! Thanks, Julia’s Album!

    1. THANK YOU!!! This recipe looked so amazing I thought my readers would love it!

  3. Thank you for all your dinner inspiration. I read through your post every week and though I might not make one of your recipes it usually inspires me to make something similar. This week I plan on trying your eggplant parmesan recipe.

  4. Yvonne I totally agree with you about losing enthusiasm at 5:00 pm when I have to start dinner. Especially after a full day of what ever chores I may have done. By this time I’m just in the mood to relax particularly during the summer.

Could you please do a post on mise en place and your ahead of time prep work?

Thanks again for an inspiring menu.

LOVE the menu! About your air fryer …where have you put it in your kitchen? That was my only hang up for not ordering it.

The stuffed chicken breasts with bacon looks so good!
