It is all about no-fuss cooking! I made a big pot of soup earlier this week and that is dinner for tonight! The ham and bean soup is such an o-l-d post. You can see how my posts looked when I first started (ugh)! The recipe is fabulous (with a secret ingredient for making the best soup) but the pictures… not so much!

Today I am working on a very very big surprise for all of you! It’s really top secret and I’ll be sharing it with you in the middle of January! I am so excited and hope you will be too! That’s all I can say for now… I don’t want to spoil the surprise.

If you have never tried Chicken Paprikash you will want to. It is scrumptious and smokey and filled with layers of flavor. And if you like Nani’s Sautéed Chicken you will love this! Serve it over noodles. YUMMY!

WEDNESDAY

Today I’m using the leftover beef brisket to make brisket and coleslaw sandwiches. YUM! I’m substituting the smoky brisket with the holiday beef brisket leftovers. So delicious!

And I’m making homemade potato chips. A real treat!

THURSDAY

Pho is a Vietnamese noodle soup and a meal in a bowl. My daughter-in-law Abby LOVES Pho and I’m venturing into new culinary ground to make some for her. It looks delicious! Pho is customarily eaten for breakfast in Vietnam, but here in the States we eat it at lunch and dinner. HERE’S some very interesting facts about Pho and the proper way to eat it and pronounce it too!

Want to venture along with me? If you are a Pho eater, please comment on your experience.

Hi Yvonne and Merry Christmas from Niagara Canada! I’ve been following your blog now for a few years and love how you inspire me with your creativity! This year I was blessed to have Christmas dinner with my friends from my childhood whom I’ve reconnected since moving here last year. It’s like we never left each other. I made your Christmas tree cheese platter and it was the star of our dinner table. Thanks again for all that you do and God bless you and your family in 2017. Warmest regards, Gloria

  29. Your menu looks scrumptious. We changed up our Christmas Eve menu from the traditional — we had turkey, a lovely tenderloin & noodles, both prepared by BIL. Latkes, Turkish green beans (new recipe, YUM) salad greens, chocolate pudding desert, Cherry Pie squares (new recipe, YUM)– all delicious. When I send out Christmas wish lists to my kids, I ask for their favorite holiday tradition — daughter’s BF, said rum cider — so we will incorporate that into one of our evenings this week. She says it’s like wassail with a shot of rum. We have served wassail many times over the years. My son and I also made fruitcake this year, and soaked one in rum — delicious! So we have added another new entry to our menu.

  30. All of them sound delicious! One question though, are the croissants raw or cooked already? Sorry, I just couldn’t tell.

  31. I have made the Holiday Beef Brisket and it was delicious.
