ON THE MENU JULY 30TH

ON THE MENU MONDAY WEEK OF JULY 30TH- A week's worth of scrumptious, fresh recipes for your menu plan this week!

This week I’m using my Pinterest FOODIE BOARD like a cookbook. YUM!  I have over 2,000 amazing recipes to pick from. How about you what is your favorite source for new recipes? Now let’s see what’s on the menu this week!

SUNDAY

Today we are having an old fashioned family dinner. I’m gathering any family that wants to come to have my very favorite meatballs in the whole world. If you make anything from on the menu this should be it! They are sooooo delicious.

MONDAY

I’m usually not a “summer” person. But I must admit I have really enjoyed this summer! The patio has been my favorite spot to read and work and eat! So I’ll be soaking up every bit of August weather, especially the long evenings!

TUESDAY

I love to eat whole fish. Gutted and cleaned but bone in. Yes, you have to navigate the bones but the flavor is amazing and I think a whole grilled fish is scrumptious! Give it a try! It’s really very very easy! I’ll be making a little piccata sauce to drizzle over the fish. YUM!

WEDNESDAY

Have you heard of SHEET PAN suppers? I love them! The premise is to make the whole meal on one sheet pan. Brilliant, right? You will love this recipe from No. 2 Pencil!

THURSDAY- SLOW COOKER DAY

The slow cooker is beloved at StoneGable! I use it hard! I think you can coax wonderful food and flavor from it IF you know some good slow cooker techniques. Look for a slow cooker technique post this fall.

FRIDAY

I’ve eaten Salmon Cakes since I was a little girl. Mom and I make them with canned salmon (which is good and convenient) but I am trying Natasha’s fresh cooked salmon version! Check out Natasha’s Kitchen for a really fabulous video for cooking these scrumptious fish cakes!

  • SALMON CAKES
  • ROASTED POTATOES WITH ROSEMARY
  • ROASTED ASPARAGUS

SATURDAY

We eat dinner a little on the late side. And it is HARD to get excited about making a full meal starting at 6:00! So I am a big fan of starting dinner prep in the morning. And if I can make the dinner up to the point of putting it in the oven, better yet! Do yourself a favor, start dinner prep when it’s convenient for you.. and make this pesto recipe.

  • PASTA WITH PESTO
  • GRILLED ITALIAN SAUSAGE
  • GARDEN TOMATOES

TREAT OF THE WEEK

GLAZED LEMON ZUCCHINI BREAD

Okay! This is absolutely the hands down best zucchini bread in the world! Yes, it is!!!! Make it and you will be convinced!

Have a scrumptious week my culinary friends!

I get a lot of ideas from Pinterest, too. These all look yummy, but I’ve pretty much been eating vegan and since temps are over 100 these days, cold food sounds better to me right now. I get a lot of healthy, imaginative, and good ideas from this blog: https://www.swansonvitamins.com/blog/recipes/
