  1. Your climate is obviously very similar to ours here in SW France, only we just get hotter without the humidity! However, at the moment, we too are relishing lilacs growing everywhere, their scent now fills my kitchen and sitting room, I have vases of them wherever I can. Asparagus season is also upon us, being sold at roadside stands and all the markets and it’s finally time to start eating outdoors again. The garden demands constant attention which is doesn’t always get, the weeds are growing, well like weeds! The trees are in full leaf, everywhere is magical, how I love May!

    1. It sounds like perfection! France is on my bucket list. I would love to come and live for a summer!

  2. Avis Cooper says:

Although we are quite a bit further north from where you live we seem to be a bit ahead of you. Oliver, BC is close to the US border just north of Washington State and our area is known as Canada’s desert. Our lilacs are nearly finished and the gardens are beginning to show lovely green rows. I can hardly wait for the first ripe tomato!! We have thinned our fruit trees and with the looks of things there will be a bumper crop of everything…enough for all my canning and lots to give away. I feel truly blessed to live here. Our summers get really hot 40+C (that’s 104+F) and our winters are mild. Beautiful country for retirement. I learn so much from your daily blog and feel a kinship as I read your Sunday meditations. You are a blessing in many ways. May God continue to use you in this very unique ministry that you have.

  3. Such great tips, and inspiring. Thanks
    Be Blessed
