I CAN FINALLY TELL YOU MY BIG SECRET

I CAN FINALLY TELL YOU MY BIG SECRET

As many of you may already know… I’ve been keeping a big, big secret! I’ve wanted to tell you a hundred times! But I’ve been sworn to secrecy until now! So today is the BIG REVEAL! I wish it were written on a huge, grand sign that was covered in hot pink silk.  And I wish a band was playing and I wish I could ceremoniously pull the pink silk off the sign and everyone could read the sign all at the same time. I wish you would clap and hug each other for joy and know in your heart that this was done with YOU in mind! So without much ado or a band or pink silk, but knowing in your heart this is with YOU in mind…

I just heard your podcast!! I found it very educational, and a comfort to hear that I don’t have to throw out things I love because they are no longer the trend. I can have my own style and that’s OK. I am not fortunate enough to have any but I believe marble is, always has been and always will be a classic.

  34. That’s wonderful news. I’ve got some travel coming up, and I plan on listening to your podcasts. A much better way to spend a few hours. 🙂

  35. Such exciting news!! Can’t wait to find out who has the motorcycle license ?

  36. Love the new pod cast – after working with all men for 35 years it’s nice to hear some talk about decor instead of hockey! I go with what I love. Example: I have driven many new cars since 1980 – but they have all been black. Right now 2 of our cars are black – when you like something why change it? My husband would probably say that black is harder to keep clean, but that’s a subject for another day!! Re your wallpaper discussion – when we built our home 24 years ago we had the foyer and bathrooms wallpapered. About 10 years ago we started removing all the wallpaper – a messy and time consuming job preparing the walls for paint. I will never go back to wallpaper. We are in the process of a 5 yr. plan to sell our home and downsize to a walkable community, and I am looking forward to decorating another space – all classic light colors for this next part of our lives. A trend that I love is doing away with the heavy window treatments in favor of lighter airy draperies. I had custom treatments made when the house was new – now done away with and in there place a creamy lined sheer simple drapery in every room. Love them. Thanks again for this new fresh approach to your blogs.

  37. That’s SO exciting…congrats to you all! I can’t wait to get started and hear even more “amazingness”!!

  38. P.S. Sorry for the typo ladies – should be “their” not there. We have 2 infant baby granddaughters here that we take care of 5 days a week – much confusion! Love Stone Gable – helps keep me sane!

  39. Deborah Hunter says:

So fun to hear your own personalities and ideas. Wonderful!!!

  40. Hearty congratulations to the three of you. I predict your podcast is going to be a hoot! Kind of like when my two sisters and I get together and carry on! I look forward to “hearing” your personalities shine. And decorating tips, too? Bonus time!
Best wishes with your happy new venture!

  41. Listening to your podcast right now….a great idea! Looking forward to hearing you all every week!

  42. Claudette Fowler says:

    oooooh!!!!! repositonal wall paper!!!!

  43. Congratulations ! I know you must be so excited! This is great! Your “voice” of caring and passion for decorating has always come through to me through your writing, but now the warmth of your laughter and real VOICE will be heard! I have always “heard” your voice and imagine how it sounds. It will be so interesting to see how it compares.

  44. Congratulations. I know I’m going to enjoy listening into this podcast. Good job, ladies!

  45. This is going to be fun! Congrats to you ladies. But let me say, my marble counters and subway tile aren’t going anywhere. It would cost me a fortune to change either of those items. “Trends” are designed by the marketing department of hugh corporations. Next year “they” whoever “they” are… will tell us that the changaes we made this year to be “trendy” are no longer “trendy”… I won’t buy into that way of thinkng. My entire house is painted a lovely soft gray and it’s staying. White walls remind me of a hospital surgical room. I’m not a huge fan of blue but have seen a thing or two in antique dishes, specifially Flow Blue that I could get happy with. Sorry, but TRENDS are fo rich people. That leaves me out! Look forward to your next podcast. Won’t be any butterflies in my kitchen either! Sorry….

  46. Wonderful! I’m listening right now and as others have said, it is good to hear your voices. Sorry, I don’t have an iphone, but I’ll be listening regularly.

  47. Can’t wait!! Congrats to all of you! Very exciting news!

  48. Hello ladies. Wow!! I listened to both one after the other. I have to say, we live in a world of visuals. Fb, TV, even our music is in video form, well mine is anyway ☺It was so refreshing to just listen. I turned on the first one with coffee, and the second as I made my bed and tidied up the bedroom. LUV!!!!! I am looking forward to next podcast!

  49. Great news! It will be like being in the same room with three of my favour ladies in blog land. I’ll make sure yo rate it after listening. Thank you, Yvonne, Anita & Kelly!

  50. How exciting!!!! I know how I’ll be spending my lunch break today 🙂

  65. Tina Carlson says:

How Exciting! I just listened to the first podcast and can’t wait to listen to the second one! Hearing your voices makes it so personal. Perfect! I do have a question for you girls that I’m sure other gals would like to have an answer to also. We recently purchased a home built in 1988 and, as you can imagine, I’m surrounded by honey oak!!! Everyone is painting their trim some sort of white, do you think this is a trend? We are going to replace our trim with something a little bigger, should I be looking at painted trim or will that out in a few years? We have a North/South facing home so we don’t get a lot of sunlight. I would really like to lighten things up and I love painted trim, but I also don’t want to look outdated in a few years.
Can’t wait to hear your podcasts every week! YAY!

  66. Michelle Molitor says:

Wow! What fun! I really loved listening to the ‘Decorating Style’ while the children are napping and I’m checking emails and making dinner!!! I loved the statement that was made about doing what you love decor-wise and not having to fall into a “trend”. Because that’s how I like to do things! 🙂 How fun to listen to you girls!!! LOVE it!

  67. This is exciting for you…..IAM sure you three will have fun and have a lot of good tips

  68. Can’t wait to listen ~ It’s awesome to have you gals doing regular group chats!
