You should be able to find all these ingredients in the spice and baking isle of your grocer’s.
Mix all the ingredients and put them in a pretty jar!

TO USE:
Simmer a handful of the ingredients in a pot of water. Watch it carefully so the water does not evaporate. You can also bring the potpourri to a boil and take it off the heat and the steam will fill the house as the pot cools.

You do not have to throw away the potpourri after one use. Just add more water and it should last several uses before needing to be discarded.

Wouldn’t this make a lovely Christmas gift?

This sounds so wonderful! Could you give an approximation of how much of each ingredient to use to make a batch of it?
    Thanks!

  7. I was wondering if the moisture in the cranberries or orange peel could cause the whole jar of ingredients to mold. Do those items sell with little or no moisture in them from the grocery department?

    1. I dry out the cranberries and peels on my counter top for a few days.

I am currently in the process of doing this, Yvonne, but I am having an issue with just a few fruit flies swarming around my peels, and my cranberries do not look nearly as dry as you have pictured. Any more tips for us? Also, can we use ground nutmeg from a spice container?
