Creating vignettes, centerpieces and tablescapes is probably my favorite way to decorate! I love dishes!!!! I have lots, but probably not as many as you think! I just use them over and over in different ways. It is so much fun to put together a centerpiece for my kitchen table that overflows with seasonal elements! If you have dishes in your cupboards or on your shelves that you love, why not take them down and create a big centerpiece for your kitchen or dining room table? Add a few little pumpkins and some fall flowers and you will have a beautiful centerpiece that’s perfect for fall! Let’s get our fall creativity on and let’s get started!

Now let’s talk Fall Decor…
No other fall decor is really needed in my breakfast room… this centerpiece makes a huge statement!
I found this big, heavy Cudahy Packaging crate this summer at a local vintage sale. There are so many things I like about it, and it’s super-size is one! The outside of this packing crate was in wonderful shape but the bottom was pretty rough.
So I Mod Podged a natural burlap with black type print to the bottom of it! LOVE the look!
Because of the size of the crate I was able to add a lantern to the vignette. Since the days are getting shorter, the soft glow of the lantern… along with the help of a couple of other tiny candles… makes everything look magical!
Grab a few dishes in a couple of sizes and stack them into a pretty tower! That’s just what I did. I made a stack of black and white dishes together with burnt orange ones and put therm on a cake stand for extra height! Stack em’ high! For a little bit of fun and fall I completed the stack with a baby boo pumpkin with a curvy stem.
I used burnt orange leaf bowls for another stack! But this time I put the top bowl on it’s side and added a sassy polka dot ribbon the the stem of the baby boo inside it! LOVE those fun and unexpected touches! This is such an easy little thing that makes a big impact!
Hello, cutie little Pumpkin!
My very favorite MacKenzie-Childs Courtley Pitcher is filled with lantana, still growning in my big pots on the patio. This pitcher seems to go with EVERYTHING! It’s a real stunner! Courltey was made for my kitchen! I hope to do a fall tablescape with MacKenzie-Childs’ beautiful tableware! I can’t wait!!!!!
When I create a centerpiece I tend to limit my color palette. This one is black, white and orange. What makes it interesting is using many shades and hues of a color, like the orange, in the fall centerpiece. Burnt orange, orangy orange and bright orange all come together to make things POP!
With a couple other additions the centerpiece is complete (did you see the big white Cinderella pumpkin in the back).
This centerpiece will last all fall, with some new flowers each time they are spent. You may ask… what do I do with the centerpiece when we eat dinner? Great question. When it’s just Bobby and me we push the centerpiece to the back of the table and light the candles and have dinner! There is plenty of room!
When we need the whole table I keep the flowers and the lantern on the table and the centerpiece is taken off the table. After dinner it goes right back on!
