There is something so beautiful about real pumpkins! Yesterday at the supermarket I bought a Squash (I forgot the name) the shape and colors great! Believe it or not our local Walmart the last couple of years has had the colored pumpkins. Last year I was able to buy the Cinderella Pumpkin like in your picture! Thank you for sharing!

    1. Hi Denise, Don’t you wish a company would make great fake Cinderella and other unusual pumpkins. They would make a goldmine!

  8. Hi Yvonne, your home is so beautiful I had yo create a word, Fall-ious! Thanks for always inspiring me to create!

  9. I love the white slipcovers. Where did you buy them?

    1. Hi June, I had them made for the family room chairs. The fabric is a heavy duck that came from Calico Corner.

  10. I always say a house is not just a house it is home, and your home is absolutely gorgeous! Everything about it shows your heart is in it. Did you make the wreath on your front door? It is beautiful!

    1. Hi Eileen, Isn’t it magnificent? I found it at a local Amish greenhouse in Strasburb called Fishers Greenhouse. I would love to copy it. I wasn’t looking for a wreath, but just happened across it and it was only $37.00!!!! Very good buy for a wreath like that! Thanks for noticing!

  11. Hi Yvonne ~
I love the pillows in the D/R –
Pottery Barn always makes everything look so beautiful, so you never know how they will look in your home, but you know just how to make everything look beautiful.

  12. Marilyn Clark says:

Love all of your decorations. Because you do such a good job of arranging each vignette it is not at all overwhelming although there is a lot of items. I always learn from your design. This time I learned to loosen the arrangements with some softness by including napkins and other soft items. I must tell you that I like all of the lines in your foyer; there are lines on the rug, lines on the floor, lines on the stair spindles, lines on the chest, and slightly curved lines on the lamp. It is very pleasing to the eye. I can not begin to say how much talent you have. Can not wait for the book you have mentioned- I know it is going to be so informative.i look forward to opening your blog each day!

  13. I just LOVE your house, so warm and cozy!!

    1. Hi Jennifer, Lancaster County is sorta like Pumpkin Land!!! We grow pumpkins everywhere! I found these pumpkins at 3 different farm stands. And they were so so inexpensive.. all about $3.00 each.

  21. So beautiful! I have been patiently waiting for your Fall Home Tour, as usual you never disappoint. So much inspiration in every room. Thanks for sharing.

  24. Very pretty. Always love your decor. Where are your dining room chairs from and the light int he foyer? Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us!

    1. Mary, photographing my home is so so hard! We have tons of windows and the light seems to wash things out. I’m going to get a lesson in how to try to cut that down. Sorry!

      1. Oh, I think you misunderstood my question – I should have asked where is the lamp from – I was being old fashioned (LOL) and calling it a light! Your pics are lovely. Also, where are your dining room chairs from?

  25. Yvonne, You have out done yourself with this one. Simply stuffing. I’ll be looking this one over and over and over. Especially love the idea of the cornstalks in the jar. Beautiful!

That has to be my favorite thing!!! Are we going to see the porch soon?????

    1. Yes, I’ll post the front porch next week and the back the week after. Thanks for asking!

    1. Laura, coming from you I am so honored! Your home and blog is one of my very very favorite!

    1. Hi Jeannine,The painting is by a local Washington DC artist named Daniel Kessler. He has wonderful prints and giclees of this painting. We have a custom made (for size) giclee and just love it! Here’s where you can find the painting on his site: http://www.kesslerart.com/americana.html

Your dinner plates seem to be in a metal basket. I have mine on a plate rack and like the idea of change. Is there a better picture of this somewhere? I have seen just snipits of it like behind your bread box (which I’m ordering today).

Wishing you many blessings.. 🙂
