EARLY FALL WREATH DIY

Even though we might be wearing flip flops or have our toes in the water and sand it is not too early to be thinking about Fall! Many kiddos will be going back to school in a week or so… and that means fall is just around the corner!

It may be too early to pull out the pumpkins and mums, but don’t forget the bounty early fall brings!  Apples always remind me of September!

Here’s a very easy-to-make early fall monogrammed wreath that will welcome fall and friends to your front door!

This was a super easy wreath to make. I took my summer wreath and repurposed it!  Here’s how the wreath looked hanging on my front door this summer…

And here is what I removed and changed on it… the “P” initial came off, the hydrangeas were removed and I turned the whole wreath’s orientation so the burlap bow was in the center at the top!

Now, here’s what I added… orange sunflowers, green apples, and “P” initial.  Everything was fastened to the wreath with lots of hot glue.

From summer to early fall… easy-peasy!

Don’t you love these great faux green apples! They look so real. I got them at the Pottery Barn Outlet on sale. But I’ve seen nice ones at Target, Wallmart, and HomeGoods!

  2. Beautiful wreath for moving into fall! The wreath prompted a new board on Pinterest. I have some sunflowers that came off an old arrangement…now to find some faux apples…

Having a late summer muggy day with showers on and off so think I will follow your lead and repurpose my sunflower wreath and a wheat and dried flower one I used last fall. Want to incorporate some sprays of cotton branches and some pheasant feathers. Much more fun than doing housework!! Still will wait till Sept to do any fall decor because it will be up till late Nov.and I don’t want to get tired of it.

  7. Love all the colors!

  8. Love those apples….makes the wreath really pop!

  9. Perfect! Your wreath looks like it was done by a professional. I love the elements you used and that you aren’t rushing to use pumpkins and leaves.

  10. I love the color of the faux green apples with the sunflowers. The colors make it a nice fall transitional wreath, if you’re not ready to go full on orange, red, and gold, which I am not. I too, love to recycle my wreaths and just change out the florals from season to season. Thank you for sharing.

  11. Yvonne, you always inspire me to try new things. I am so thankful to have found your blog. Love the changes of your wreath. Enjoy your weekend!!

Yvonne, I can’t wait to duplicate the fall wreath for the front door of our new house. (Our move-in date is September.) I’ll even be using the same initial! Everything on Stonegable blog is such an inspiration to me! Just lovely. God bless you. Suzanne from Aiken, SC.

  13. beautiful wreath…sunflower time!

  14. Love your wreath!! The apples do look real, and your sunflowers look cool. I’m using pears in my late summer decor. Got the inspiration from you ? Having fun with it.
    Hugs

  15. Yvonne, are you certain those are faux apples??? You really fooled me! Apple green and sunflower yellow, with the accent of black looks terrific…great color combo for a tablescape, too.

  16. Wow you had me fooled! I thought those apples were real! Beautiful wreath!

I just want you to know I read your posts everyday and you are helping me become more aware of how I accessorize! There are so many things I love but there’s just not room for it to be out all the time. Even though I do move things around and swap in and out I seem to be paying better attention to what I’m doing and it’s really helping with the transitions to fall! Many thanks to you!

Very inspiring! I have a galvanized metal piece that I’m going to use for my fall door decor. I’m looking forward to putting it together. 🙂 (Love those little green flowers… they are one my fave fauxs to use.)

In the dining room, what is being used as the top of the table? I looks like metal. Curious as to what is being used?

    Thank you, Melisa Aebly
