I hang wreaths from my glass front kitchen cupboards each year. The wreaths often change, but I’ve had a love affair with black and white ribbons at Christmas for the past few years. The picture above was from last Christmas… and the picture below is from this year! This year I choose long, spiky pines!

This year I also hung wreaths on the back of my kitchen chairs. A fun and unexpected Christmas decoration!

  1. Thank you Yvonne for so many inspiring ideas. I won’t be doing them all this year but I’ve pinned for next year. We leave for southern clime right after Christmas so I don’t want decorations around for months 🙁 I need simple, elegant, and easily stored. Quite a request isn’t it?

  2. I must say, there was not one wreath that I did not like! Each and everyone one is gorgeous and so unique for each and everyone’s decorating style. I too am crazy over wreaths and I am going to add a brand new bow on my front door wreath and a few new ornaments as well.
    Thanks for the inspiration, Yvonne.

All of the wreaths are lovely. I like the idea of having the bow one pattern of check and the hanging bow another check, and especially love the black and white with the wreaths. We always think of a wreath as being bid and full, but the wreath that you have hanging on the door with limited greenery and more adornment is striking. Love them all.

  4. So many lovely scenes in your post today; could you share where that lovely pillow with the wreath was found? Just lovely and perfect colors for our home.

  5. Love your wreaths, Yvonne. So many wonderful ideas. I, too, love wreaths and I think I have a wreath, of some sort, in every room! And I also like black/white check! Love your ribbon and black/white wrapping paper! Your home is always so stunning.

  6. I can’t get enough! Thank you!

  7. Marlene Stephenson says:

  8. I love wreaths too and I made my first pine cone wreath. I’ll hang it on my front door during the winter after Christmas. Your holiday touches to your home are beautiful.

  9. So many ideas, so little time. Guess there’s always next year! Thank you Yvonne and have a Merry Christmas!

…and to think I just thought wreaths were for the front door! Another project to work on! Thank you again for your great ideas.

  12. What beautiful wreaths and I love your ideas! I’m not a crafty person but i am going to try some of your ideas. My question is, how are you attaching the wreaths to the door when it’s just a piece of fabric? I would like to put one on my door that is glass with the pattered fabric but not sure how to do that when I’m opening and closing the door. Thank you in advance for your help. Love your site!
