A THANKSGIVING BLESSING

A PRINTABLE THANKSGIVING BLESSING AND WAYS TO USE ITAs we get closer to Thanksgiving I like to plan ahead and get things ready for this special All-American holiday. It’s a time for family and fun but it’s primarily a time for remembering to thank God for his goodness, grace, and lovingkindness to us. And that comes in more ways than we can count. Today I have a THANKSGIVING BLESSING you can print out and use during your Thanksgiving festivities!

You can print out this Thanksgiving prayer HERE.

And here are some ways to print it out and use it…

  • make a copy and frame it
  • print out a small copy, put in small frames and give it to each family at Thanksgiving
  • print a small copy and put on each plate at your Thanksgiving table
  • print out and put into a frame and take as a hostess gift
  • make bookmarks
  • take a picture of this print on with your smartphone and send it to friends and loved ones on Thanksgiving
  • make this print into a card and send it to someone
  • make it your screensaver on your computer or smartphone

May your table and all who grace it be abundantly blessed!

Blessings to you this Fall morning Yvonne. I can not wait to print this prayer out and frame it for my kitchen. Thanks and have a great day.

  2. Amen.Thank you for the printable.Have a wonderful Sunday.

  3. Thank you for the free printable. I will use it and what a wonderful idea to use it for a hostess gift!

  4. This is the blessing prayer we say, starting with the sign of the cross before every meal in my family since my Grandparents time.
    It is beautiful.
The Sign of the Cross prayer is “In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
Then the blessing just as you picture it.

When we began losing loved ones my Dad requested we add to the end of this prayer another one. “May the souls of our dearly departed ( you can name them ) Rest In Peace. Amen. ”
Then we say the Sign of the Cross again.
The printable is lovely and I like your ideas for sharing. . We frequently have guests who are not familiar with the prayer and I would be so happy to help them join in.
Did you know there is another prayer for after a meal?
    Thank you Yvonne.

    1. Your comments made me smile Portia. I grew up with this grace too and we also began and ended with the sign of the cross in our Catholic home.
I love your Dad’s idea about including departed loved ones. Such beautiful faith expressed in every day living.
This continues to be the grace offered before meals in our home, and I too would love for others to be able to participate more fully and comfortably. So I add my thank you to you Yvonne for making so many lovely things close to our reach.

LOVELY!! Thank you so much for this wonderful idea—and a gift! Can’t wait to print this up on cards for each place setting. I may even print a couple as gifts for two of my friends. Terrific!

  12. This is absolutely gorgeous. I love, love, love it. Thanks for sharing it

  13. Printable is lovely. Thank you. I, however, miss your devotional this week. It’s always very uplifting.

  14. Thank you for another beautiful printable. This prayer has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. One more way this printable can be used – make into a pillow cover! It can be printed onto iron-on transfer paper which can be then ironed onto fabric or there is also “photo fabric” which can be printed onto directly. The fabric is sold packaged in sheets or rolls. The iron-on transfer paper and fabric sheets both require an inkjet printer. If you don’t have one I think any copy/printing service like FedEx can do the printing part for you. Wishing everyone a blessed Thanksgiving!

    1. Also thinking how beautiful it would be printed on a table runner and placemats. They would be perfect for every day use, not just Thanksgiving.

What a great print, will have to make that into a framed table top style to use this season! Thank you.

  16. Thank you for this lovely print. I unexpectedly lost my sweet husband this year and have been thinking how to make something special for this holiday and my family. This is a prayer my family shared while I was growing up and I will be placing a copy on each plate at my table. We can now start a new tradition moving forward, thanks to you. I am so appreciative.

  17. This is just beautiful; you have the best printables.
