I love the idea of a YEAR IN REVIEW... Here is what I am sending to long distance friends and family this year ( I have to proof read it again, sorry if you find a mistake or two or ten)..
I first saw a YEAR IN REVIEW on Pinterest and thought it was the best idea! So much more interesting and creative to read than the ordinary Christmas letter...
My inspiration comes from MY 3 MONSTERS... Amy's template really helped me! If you want to use her template please, go to her site to copy it. Thanks!

I used a combination of my own digital imaging program and PicMonkey.
I'm sharing the template in case you would like to use it too! Just copy it to your desktop, open it and add text.

Yvonne... this is great! Love this template - easy to write and easy to read. Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteWhat a year you have had..Glad your whole family will be with you albeit one missing..
That's such a great idea. Would make the yearly Christmas letter a little more visually interesting! :-)
ReplyDeleteSuper cute, great way to get the high points across...I need to make time to do this...maybe in Janurary! Thanks for another great inspiration,

ReplyDeleteYes what a fantastic idea!! Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteVery wonderful...concise and personal!
ReplyDeleteWell, you'll be able to see for yourself what my Christmas letter looked like this year. I put your card in the mail this morning. :)
ReplyDeleteFor us, it has been one of the worst years of our lives ~ no joke. But in sitting down to reflect on what was good was a wonderful exercise in thankfulness.
What a great idea and sooo much easier to read than those boring long, long paragraphs we usually get from friends.

Yvonne, this is a great idea. I never have written a Christmas letter, but I might do this one. ;-)
ReplyDeletelove this! I don't understand how to download the template so that you can add text? It is only letting me save as a jpg.
ReplyDeleteAny suggestions?
Thanks!
Tracy
I am having this problem also. Can anyone tell me where to click to download the file so that I can enter in text? All I can do is save the template as a picture, and then you can't edit anything. I love this idea! Super cute!
DeleteI love your template! It's funny because the Christmas cards I ordered this year say "Year in Review" and I inserted 12 photos that show what happened this year. So the same idea, just photos instead of words :)
ReplyDeleteI've always shied away from Christmas letters in the past but feel like it would be quite appropriate for this year…now you've inspired me! With all of the changes our family has undergone I think I might just do it! Loved your template!
ReplyDeleteThat really is a fun idea Yvonne! Has a little more pizzazz:@)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great Christmas letter format! I always enjoy receiving a letter with the card, and this one is so unique yet informative. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! It really pulls you in & makes you want to read it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea, way better than reading a lengthy letter! Gonna have to try this next year for sure.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the way yours turned out!! It's so fun to see everyone's variations. Thanks for the link back. Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteI love the template. Thank you so much. I copied it to my documents but can't add text. What am I doing wrong?
